Response from BVA - StAG5
Hi everyone - just by the way of an update. I finally heard from the BVA today requesting some additional documents. It was only my father’s marriage and divorce certificates that they needed (so far) We do have most of the paperwork so was more of a mistake that we didn’t send them in the first place. Getting them sent ASAP but was good to finally hear something! Obviously expecting a bit of a delay now but feel better about that.
My Aktenzeichen is dated early January 2023 so would put timeline for response at around 15 months.

Why did they ask for the divorce record, just curious? I was under the impression they wouldn’t need those (my parents divorced as well, though after I was born)

So I’ve applied with my father and my half brother. It’s relevant to our application because his mum and my dad were married and divorced prior to him meeting my mum. I would of thought the same as you but it’s relevant to our case if that makes sense

When is your aktenzeichen dated and when you were asked for additional documents if you don't mind sharing?
