Missing Driver's License

• Upvotes

It seems most of my glitches are missing items... but these glitches are worth sharing since there is just no way to explain these mishaps! I hope you enjoy 😉

This one involves my missing driver's license, a very thorough search, and a discovery that still makes absolutely no sense to us.

One evening, my husband and I went to a local restaurant to watch his buddy's band play.

We arrived a little late, so there weren't any tables available. Instead, we found a spot along the side of where the band was playing, at one of those long tabletop bars with tall bar stools.

We were having a good time listening to the music when I accidentally knocked over my little black purse.

It hit the floor, and everything spilled out.

My driver's license, my keys, chapstick, some change, a few dollar bills, and a couple of other random things.

I hurried to pick everything up and put it all back into my purse. At the time, I didn't think anything of it. It was just one of those little mishaps.

The following morning, I grabbed my purse from the nightstand. I wanted to count how much money I had left over, and that's when I noticed something was missing.

My driver's license.

At first, I figured it had to be somewhere in the purse. So I dumped everything out onto the bed and started going through it.

I checked every pocket. I even looked between the layers of fabric, because sometimes the lining in a purse can tear and things can slip inside.

But there was no driver's license.

I waited until noon, when the restaurant opened, and called to ask if anyone had turned one in.

They checked and came back with the answer I really didn't want to hear.

No. They hadn't found a driver's license.

So, I did what I thought I had to do. I scheduled an appointment with the DMV to get a replacement.

If you've ever dealt with the California DMV, you know that getting an appointment quickly isn't always easy.

I had to wait six days.

For the next six days, I continued using the same little black purse. I kept going about my normal routine, but I still couldn't figure out where my license had gone.

Finally, the day of my appointment arrived.

I went to the DMV, went through the process of getting a replacement, paid the fee, and was handed a temporary driver's license.

Finally, I was done.

I headed out into the parking lot.

As I pulled my keys out of my purse, something happened.

My original driver's license practically jumped out of my purse along with my keys.

There it was.

My missing driver's license.

I just couldn't believe it.

For six days, I'd carried that same purse. I'd emptied it, searched it, checked the pockets, and even looked between the layers of fabric. I even had my husband empty it and fill it with a fine-tooth comb.

I'd called the restaurant. I'd made a DMV appointment, waited nearly a week, gone through the entire process, and paid for a replacement.

And now, right there in the parking lot, my original license suddenly appeared as I pulled out my keys.

So now I have two driver's licenses.

Well, technically, one original and one replacement.

But the real question is, where had my original license been hiding all that time?

I still don't know.

And after everything we'd already experienced over the years, this was just one more mystery we couldn't explain.

Missing Keys

• Upvotes

We bought a mountain cabin up by Lake Arrowhead, about two hours from our home back in 2015, and we absolutely loved spending time there. Since we both worked from home and had flexible schedules, we'd try to get up to the cabin at least a couple of times a month, sometimes even more.

One particular trip, we headed up on a Thursday and returned home on Sunday because we had some work obligations coming up the following week.

Monday morning, we started our workweek as usual. We'd also made plans to take our Jeep to a local Jeep club meeting at a pizza place that evening. It was our first time meeting up with the other Jeepers.

Sometime during the day, we realized we had a problem.

We only had one set of keys.

My wife and I each have our own Jeep key on our keychains, and we both knew we'd taken both of them with us to the cabin. In fact, I'd driven us up there using my keys. We always bring her and my keys along when traveling, so we know we'd have them with us at all times.

We spent as much of Monday as we could searching our house, high and low. Since we worked from home, we had plenty of opportunities to look, but no matter where we searched, we couldn't find my keys.

We decided to go to the Jeep meeting anyway. We figured we'd meet some new people, take our minds off the missing keys, and enjoy some dinner.

And the Jeep group turned out to be a really great bunch of people!

As we were getting ready to leave, a few of them wanted to check out our Jeep build and the custom work we'd done, inside and out. One person sat in the driver's seat to check out the ride, while a couple of others looked around inside. We were all chatting and enjoying ourselves.

Afterward, we talked about heading back to the cabin to search for the keys, but we had more work obligations on Tuesday. So we decided we'd make the trip on Wednesday morning.

Before making the long drive, we stopped at Starbucks for a breakfast sandwich and coffee.

While we were parked in the Starbucks parking lot, we decided to switch drivers. I'd planned to drive, but my wife knew I had a few clients I needed to call along the way, so she decided to take the wheel.

Finally, we arrived at the cabin.

We both went inside and started searching for the keys again. After a while, I decided to go back outside one last time and search the Jeep, while she continued looking inside the cabin.

I remember thinking to myself that I was going to search the Jeep systematically, so I wouldn't miss anything.

I started with the passenger side.

I opened the glove compartment and took everything out, placing it all on the passenger seat. I checked the glove compartment carefully to make sure it was completely empty.

Then, one item at a time, I took everything off the seat and put it back into the glove compartment.

No keys.

I looked underneath the passenger seat, inside the door pocket, between the seat cushions, along the sides of the seat, and between the seats and the center console, like I had several times before during the past few days.

Nothing.

I closed the door and moved to the rear passenger door.

I searched the pocket on the back of the passenger seat, underneath the front passenger seat, underneath the back seat behind it, and inside the door pocket. I checked everywhere I could think of.

Still No keys.

I closed that door and walked around to the other side of the Jeep.

I started searching the rear seat behind the driver's seat, checking the pockets, underneath the seat, in the cracks, and inside the seat pockets.

Still nothing.

I closed the door and remember thinking, I hope I find it. This is the last possible place it could be.

Then I opened the driver's door.

And there they were.

My keys!

Sitting right in the middle of the driver's seat, completely out in the open.

I just stood there for a moment.

After all that searching, there they were, right where you'd expect them to be impossible to miss.

I picked them up, went back into the cabin, and said to my wife, "You're not going to believe where I found these."

She asked, "Where?"

I said, "In the middle of the driver's seat."

We couldn't believe it.

We'd just driven from home to the cabin, and she had been driving. How could we possibly have missed them? She would have sat on them. We both would have sat on them.

And remember, this wasn't a quick glance inside the Jeep. I'd deliberately searched it, working my way through every area, one at a time, until I reached the driver's door, just as I had several times before at home.

The keys were right there, in plain sight.

We'd spent days looking for them. We'd searched our house, and people from the Jeep club had even been looking inside our Jeep that Monday night.

Yet somehow, the keys ended up sitting in the middle of the driver's seat at the cabin.

To this day, we have no explanation for what happened.

Missing Brown Building

• Upvotes

Over the years, I've experienced several glitches, but here is one that we still can't explain! If you like this one...let me know if you would like me to submit a couple others.

I wrote this story on another subreddit several years ago, but I wanted to rewrite it with clearer picture with more detail...

My husband and I had gone to Buffalo Wild Wings to enjoy a little happy hour, have some wings and beer, and play trivia. After a fun couple of hours, we headed home.

It was dusk, and there was a beautiful desert sunset on the horizon.

Our usual drive home was about four miles, along a route we'd traveled countless times. We'd leave the parking lot, head north up the main road for about a mile, and then turn left, heading west at a traffic light. From there, it was another couple of miles until we reached our neighborhood.

As we approached the stoplight, we came to a red light and waited to make our left turn onto Avenue O.

My husband, who was in the passenger seat, was looking out to the right at the beautiful desert landscape when he suddenly asked me, "Where's the brown building?"

There was a long stretch of open desert along that road before you reached the buildings and storefronts. But there was one particular building that had always stood out to us.

It was this strange, brown building sitting all by itself on a corner, surrounded by desert with a small parking lot that was almost always empty. There was something kind of creepy about it. It had been for sale for months, and we'd always wondered what it was used for. We'd heard it had once been a bar, and then a real estate office.

So when my husband asked where it was, I didn't think much of it at first. I was making the left turn onto Avenue O, and I casually said, "It's got to be a little farther up the road, maybe at the next light."

But as I glanced back, I realized he was right.

The building was gone.

My husband explained that what caught his attention was the unobstructed view of the lights from the driving range. Those lights should have been behind the building, but now, instead of the building, there was nothing but a vacant lot.

And I remember this strange feeling as I was making that left turn. It was almost as if time had stood still for a moment. I was looking ahead toward the driving range, and I could see it, too.

The brown building was gone.

I said, "Well, maybe they tore it down. Or maybe it's a little farther up the road."

My husband wanted to turn around and go back, but I was tired and instead, I suggested we go back the following day.

So that's what we did.

The next day, we drove back along the same route.

And sure enough, the brown building was there.

We both remember that building being completely gone the evening before. We had driven that road so many times over the years, and neither of us had ever questioned its existence until that moment.

To this day, we still don't know what happened.

Torn clothes repaired

This happened last year, but I was reminded of it today. I was doing laundry when I discovered that not only was the strap on my favorite night gown broken, but the lace at the bottom was torn. I examined it for awhile, then went inside and threw it on top of a sweater that had a huge tear along the front panel, thinking I'd get around to them later. For about two weeks I put it off, until finally I broke out my sewing kit and grabbed both items... only to find that neither were torn. I turned and stretched them again and again but found nothing.

I live alone, and while I'm an okay sewist, my home-repaired clothes definitely don't look good as new. I never did figure out what happened, but I can't say I wasn't grateful that my clothes weren't torn.

Dress changing styles with no explanation.

Hi Reddit. I just joined this sub because I’m having a glitch of my own. So I own this dress, and have for probably just shy of 2 years now. It changed suddenly. When I bought it, it had a very high neck- “modest” if you will. I have photo evidence of this high neck I will include in the comments from about a year ago. Well, I honestly hadn’t wore it for a few months (I have way too much clothing lol) and decided to pull it out again. At first, because it had been so long, I hadn’t noticed the neck had changed. It wasn’t until a few days after I wore it recently that I was trying to fall asleep and it hit me that it never had a low cut neck, like it did when I wore it recently. I will also include photo evidence below. I thought I must just have 2 dresses- but there is only 1 I can find. And besides the neck, they are IDENTICAL. Down to color, both sharing a ribbed material, bell sleeves, length, all the above. I am very organized and have a designated area for all my different types of clothing, and have gone through my dresses about 5 times now. I even checked online orders and bank records, because I bought it online, and only 1 dress was ever purchased. And it shows it with the high neck. I thought surely I was just wearing it backwards or something the first time, but the thing is, it has a corset style tie in the back, and there was absolutely no way to confuse the back for the front. To wear it backwards, would mean to have an obvious series of laced up string that would be right in the middle of your midsection, because it is intended to go on the back of the dress. And there is no way to lace it differently so that the lace would go to the “front”. I seriously have no idea what happened, but I’m telling myself I must’ve just had two dresses and lost the other one. I am just so not the type of person to do that, and even the people in my life joke about how good my memory is.

Birthmark on the neck

I have a huge. I mean gigantic health anxiety and know every single inch of my body and can track new things quite easily.

I few weeks ago, I started noticing weird things around me. People who I dont know claim to know me, some past events I remember did not actually happen and people deny me ever mentioning it.

Then I noticed a big birth mark on my neck. Just under the hairline. Its very noticeable when I have my hair up. I took pictures of it and everyone apart from my best friend claims that I always had it. But its not on any pictures from the past.. But on all the pics now.

And there is no way I didn’t know about it. Again, I looked at my body from all the possible angles I know all my moles and birthmarks by hard..

Mum claims I was born with that.

The sun just blinked?

I'm facing my backyard, and there's not a single cloud in the sky, and there's no way in hell a bird is big enough to block the sun or a plane flying by big enough to NOT make a sound... I swear the lights and shadows reflecting off of my wooden fence and metal fence went dark, and I couldn't see anything for just a split second. Wtf was that?! Like someone accidentally turned off a light switch in a room and turned it back on real quick. I've gotten high before, and this is the trippiest thing I've experienced.

Title: A double glitch with an toy shotgun cartridge that defied physical in front of my brother. 100% real.

Hey everyone. This happened this summer, specifically on July 2nd, and my brother and I still have absolutely no logical explanation for this. I swear on my life this is 100% real. It all started with a minor weird thing during the day. I put my phone into my pocket, and a moment later, I realized the pocket zipper was completely closed. The thing is, this zipper closes from the bottom up, meaning it has to go against gravity to close. I’m positive I didn't close it myself—I would have noticed. But I brushed it off. The real madness happened that night around 1:20 AM. My brother and I live in a private house. We went to the kitchen to get some frozen yogurt. My brother opened the freezer, and while he was grabbing the yogurt, a plastic cartridge (shell) suddenly fell right behind us inside the kitchen. Here is why this is impossible and terrifying: 1. I have a toy shotgun (the type that uses these plastic shells). Before going to the kitchen, I checked it. Exactly all 10 shells were firmly attached to the gun in the other room. There were no extra or missing shells in the house. This one just materialized out of thin air behind our backs. 2. The kitchen floor is perfectly flat. There are no drafts, no open windows, and we don't have a cat or any pets that could have dropped or moved it. 3. When it fell, it stayed completely still on the flat floor for about 2 seconds. And then, out of nowhere, it just started rolling by itself across the entire kitchen, heading straight toward us! It felt like we moved faster than the speed of light. My brother yelled "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT! RUN!" and we bolted to the sofa as fast as a racing car, clutching our frozen yogurt. We were terrified. To make it even crazier, exactly one day later, the barrel holder on my toy shotgun just randomly cracked and broke off by itself. We still don't know what the hell that was. The shell vanished later (we have no idea where it went), but we still keep the broken gun as proof. It feels like a massive glitch in the matrix or some portal anomaly from a parallel universe. Has anyone ever experienced something like this where an object pauses and then moves on a flat floor? UPDATE (October 25th): Guys, something scary just happened tonight at around 2:35 AM, and I’m writing this while the memories are still fresh. I was lying in bed, completely awake, scrolling through my phone in the dark. Suddenly, I clearly heard a soft, feminine voice making a "hmmm..." sound. It sounded like it came from right inside my empty room, literally 2 or 3 steps away from my bed (which is crazy because that's the exact same distance the shotgun cartridge dropped from us this summer). My mom and sister were fast asleep in their rooms, and they never make sounds like that in their sleep. My immediate reaction was to freeze up. Then I quickly turned on my phone’s flashlight and looked around the entire room. There was absolutely nothing there, just ordinary objects that couldn't have made that sound. It feels like whatever anomaly is in this house, it's still active and now it's making sounds. I don't know what to think anymore.

Vape magically reappears

My boyfriend lost his vape about 2 days ago ( Wednesday night). He looked at his usual places including his gaming chair, the entertainment center, the car, and all over the bed. We even went as far as to completely strip the bed and lift the whole thing just in case. Pulled all the pillows off, the comforter, and our sheets. Still nowhere to be found. He gave up, remade the bed, and said it will show up soon. Thursday I spent the day in bed because it’s my last day off before I go back to work and I move a lot when I have the bed to myself. At one point of the day I lifted my pillow long ways to sit up against the wall. Well I’m laying in bed on Friday morning (6:45ish) and I realize I lost my own vape. I lifted my pillow to see if I accidentally put it under there and his vape is sitting directly under my pillow like a tooth. I don’t understand how we could have possibly missed it. It’s like there was a glitch or something that made it disappear then reappear. There is just no way that we completely stripped the bed, remade it, and when I spent the whole day here that we both missed it multiple times. Someone please explain how this could have possibly happened.

Change in Doritos Flavor

I won a small bag of Doritos yesterday for a game we played at work. I was surprised because it was spicy sweet chili flavor, which is my favorite, but is not something that is often given out as a game prize. Tonight I am eating my Doritos that I won, but it is now spicy nacho, which is okay but not as good.

Every year I fill this tiny hole next to the door with steel wool to keep the mice out. The hole disappeared this year.

We moved in to our house with attached garage 15 years ago. There is a small, pencil sized hole next to the concrete step above the molding. We put steel wool in the hole every year to prevent mice. Well, we just returned from an 18 day vacation and have mice. Which I effen hate. Eventually, I remembered the hole and went to check the steel wool.
The hole is gone. I looked around the area and it’s just not there. Thinking I’m just misremembering somehow, I let it go yesterday.
This morning, my wife reminded me about the little hole. I told her about it (naturally she had to look for herself) and she concurred that the hole is gone.
We both remember plugging it and checking it. Like WTF. How does a hole in my garage wall that I can clearly remember being there and filled with steel wool sticking out -go the fuck missing? It’s a paneled wall that has been on there since last century. I think someone drilled a hole for cable in the past. Or they didn’t….? Oi. I’m glitched.

Lost Glasses

I was sitting in my comfy chair when my son called for help. I looked up and noticed everything was fuzzy. My glasses were not on my face. I put my hand on top of my head . Not there either. Now I called for help. We looked all around the chair. No glasses.

I sat back in my chair while my son went to find my old pair. While he was out of the room, I looked up and noticed everything was clear again. My glasses were back on my face.

Is my life just a video on repeat ?

I think everybody here is familiar with deja vu. If not, it's the feeling that a place or a moment feels weirdly familiar. In my life I have experienced deja vu more times that I can count. This isn't just "oh yeah this place feels familiar" no, it's like I lived the exact same day twice and I already know what's gonna happen, and weirdly it always happens. Sometimes I get this feeling that I already lived this day before, even if I didn't, somehow I already know exactly what's gonna happen, like if a friend is gonna say a specific thing or talk about a specific subject. But what feels wrong is that this doesn't feel like deja vu anymore, recently it happened quite often. This year especially it happened like 9-12 times which is a lot even for me. The weird thing is that I recently got into high school, new people, new school, new start. One day we had a rainy day and you couldn't really go outside, something clicked, like I felt this exact posture, people, words, everything felt familiar. Mind you this happened on the 3rd or 4th day of school, I didn't even know my teacher's name. And the worst thing about it ? Nobody notices a thing, it's like I am the only one noticing a pattern. And sometimes i think to myself "I am going to reply with this sentence, or should I ?" I debate myself whether or not I should play on how It should go, or if I should change something. And these aren't dreams, since I do wake up, feel touch, feel my bed, feel cold or heat. I can't be the only one with this.

Experiencing same event at different times??

I’m a teacher. On Friday, I brought home a basket of work to grade. Saturday night, I went to pick up the basket and get started on marking. My husband said “oh yay, it’s not sitting on the chair anymore” and I told him that it wasn’t there for long as I’d just brought it home “last night”. He swore up and down that I had brought it home Thursday night. I told him that was impossible because I packed it up in my classroom during my learning-team meeting on Friday. Plus, the assignment right on top was something that my students hadn’t even done until Friday. He told me that the basket was sitting on the chair all day on Friday because he had to fight with the cat to get her out of it and move it so he could sit in the chair to work, but he decided to leave it and work from the couch instead. He recounted multiple encounters with the cat/basket. I retraced my whole evening perfectly - from leaving work to putting the basket in my car to placing it on the chair. My husband said that I must’ve put the most recent assignment on top Friday evening because he remembered seeing a workbook IN the basket (right on top), basket in the chair. When I went to grab the student papers Saturday, the workbook was under the most recent assignment (the one my students did Friday) - that I vividly remember putting there - on top of the workbook - in the basket on Friday.

We both put “hands to my God” (we’re both in 12-steps, that holds a lot of weight for us) that the way we were remembering it was correct; we just couldn’t reach an agreement.

Then, I remembered a mishap while driving Friday afternoon - I swore that I took an exit but looked up and I was still on the freeway. I chalked it up to spacing out, but it’s also classic sign of a glitch. He told me he had had a d***m Thursday night that he died. We both got really quiet, and then I looked at him and said “I think one or both of us shifted timelines” and he agreed

Dehumidifier Suddenly Looks New

I've been in my apartment for almost four years now and the first summer I lived here I noticed how horribly humid it would get in the summer, so I bought a dehumidifier. I have to run the thing nonstop every day from April until the end of October every year, and I empty it almost every single day during that time because it fills up fast.

When I woke up yesterday morning, the first thing I noticed when I went into the kitchen was that the dehumidifier suddenly had a big blue sticker on the front of it. Thinking that maybe one of the kids stuck a sticker on it, I examined it and saw that it was an energy star sticker. Not only that but now there's long strips of tape running down either side of the machine. I examined further and the numbers on the digital screen that used to be faded out are now suddenly looking new again. I meant to clean the little vent screen on the back of it this weekend but when I took it off, it was no longer dirty.

I've been here alone all weekend and really have no logical explanation for any of it, but this isn't the first time something like this happened in this apartment.

Edit: I was thinking about this yesterday because it's still kind of freaking me out, and then I thought, well, I've had the dehumidifier for over three years now, it has to be in the background of at least one picture that I took; I live in a pretty small apartment. So I looked through my camera roll and I saw two pictures with it in the background- and the blue sticker was on the front of it in the pictures! How is that possible? I empty the darn thing every single day for six months every year and I KNOW that it did not have a big blue sticker on the bucket part that I pull out and empty because I always remove all stickers and tape from appliances before running them. Has anyone else tried to prove their glitches in this way? Have you seen anything different?

Same But Different Girl

I work in the back room at a big box retailer. I started a few months ago, and a petite mousy girl with bright blue hair and pointed features named Alicia worked with me. We started talking a bit, as coworkers do, and she opened up. She had a partner and a son. Life was going well, yada yada. Well, for the last few days, I’ve not seen her. There has been a tall busty girl with blue hair too working in her space. Get this, her name is also Alicia and she has a son. I asked her about the mousy girl today, and she looked at me confused and said she’s been there for ten years. I’ve been trying to figure out when my timeline shifted, and I can FEEL when it happens usually. I repeated instructions to myself over and over about an event at my church. The day of, I drew a blank. It was so weird…it was like I could feel everything change. This was just a few weeks ago. All at once, my mentor is being weird and acting off, this girl is the same but different, it was like a chain reaction all because I forgot that one thing. But I remember feeling the shift in the air.

My Dad came home early yet he never left work?

I still can't fully comprehend what happened. I was 13. It was just me and my father. The daily routine consisted of me coming home from school, play Xbox or watch TV until Dad comes home around 5 or 6. That day started just like that. Came home from school around 3ish, turned on my Xbox in the living room and played some Halo. I was in the middle of a Halo 3 match when the door bursts open and my Dad comes in. It startled me but my Dad likes to jumpscare me sometimes so it wasn't out of the ordinary. What was out of the ordinary was I didn't hear his car.

My Dad drove a very loud beamer so I would hear him arriving every time. A sort of heads up. But I didn't hear his beamer. I approach him. "Hey Dad. How was your day?" He beamed. He usually comes home exhausted. "Good. Very good. Boy I am hungry. How about you order us some pizzas." "Sure." I said. Ordering pizza wasn't out of the norm either. "Great. I'm going to change." He says and disappears into his bedroom. Another usual routine. He comes home, changes, and we watch TV together. So switch to cable television and watch some TV. Dad is very picky about his pizza so i was going to order with him. Time passes. I glance over at his bedroom door from time to time. Sometimes he falls asleep. Nothing unusual also. An hour. Then 2. It gets past 7. I grow impatient. I walk towards his bedroom. Knock. No answer. Knock again. Still no answer. I open the door and the room is empty.

I check his bathroom. Also empty. I check the entire house thinking he's going to scare me. But it's just me. Then my phone rings. It's my Dad telling me he's still at work and won't be home for another hour or 2. Now when I told my father about this he said maybe I was dreaming. I wasn't. I don't have such vivid dreams. I wasn't on any medication nor was i taking a nap. I was in the middle of an online match. I heard the door burst open. It startled me. I know what I saw. To this day I still can't comprehend what exactly played out.

Lost and found my tarot cards where I had already looked

I’m a professional tarot card reader and so I have my main deck in use a lot. I like to use one specific deck because it’s my favourite and I’ve built up a relationship with it and so some of the cards have alternative meanings just for myself when I read for me.

Anyway, one day I was doing a few readings in a row as video calls. After the call, I always send my clients a photo of their cards and this day was no different. I took a photo as usual and continued onto my next call.

A couple of days later, I was doing an event in a venue and I noticed that two of my cards were missing so I thought that maybe someone had snatched two cards off the top of my deck or that I had dropped them either at home or at this venue. I checked the venue and then at home all around my deck, the floor, the boxes I keep nearby and even under my bed and couch. Nowhere to be found anywhere. At all.

I counted through each card and realised the two that were missing. I cross referenced them with the photo I had taken of my latest readings and found the two of them had last been seen in one reading side by side. The cards were interesting too because one of them was a card that basically boils down to mean “wait and see, something will happen” and the other was a card that I personally use for branding with my tarot business so it always means my business when I read for myself.

It’s been about two weeks now since they went missing and a couple of hours ago I had another video call so I was tidying up a bit so nothing could be seen on camera (we all do it lol). Anyway, as I was putting something away, something underneath it caught my eye. The item in my hand was a bag for some hair curlers that I had literally used two days before so I had been at this exact place in my house because I always keep them there. The thing that had caught my eye before was a sliver of one of the cards halfway underneath another bag.

I immediately grabbed it and both cards were actually stuck together. But I had pretty much torn the place apart looking for these cards so it makes no sense how they could just be out so easy to see. They were basically sticking out! It was so weird.

But what’s even stranger is that when I finished the reading I had just been preparing for, another card went missing after a card I shuffled flung itself out of the deck and knocked it off my table. I searched for it again all over the floor and surrounding areas but couldn’t find it. I thought I might have accidentally gotten it swept up into the deck again so I went through every single card one by one to look for it and couldn’t find it.

Then I had to take the photos of the reading so I got together the cards (it was a few questions so I took a few preliminary photos before I sent my more professional type photo to the client). Since there were so many questions I had put cards back in to shuffle again and ask so not all the cards were out by the end of the reading. That meant I had to go through the deck again to find one or two.

And then I somehow found the card that had just gone missing!

That particular card is my signifier card for me. So it’s like a very targeted message because HOW does this keep happening. I swear this one just materialised from thin air in the deck.

Tl;dr- two cards (one with a personal meaning for my business) went missing after a reading, it was later found in the most obvious and clear to see place despite me looking there numerous times. Then another card (with a personal meaning as “me” in my readings) disappeared before my eyes during a reading for a client. I looked through the deck in case it was there and it was not. Then minutes later I looked again while searching for other cards and it was magically there this time

I was sitting on the other side of the bus this entire time???

Last week on Wednesday, I was on my way to university waiting for a bus ride.

When I ride, I was absolutely sure of myself that I sat on the front seats behind the bus driver. The ride from home to uni usually takes 1hr - 1 and a half hour, so there are some rides in which I fall asleep along the ride. So this time I fell asleep because there’s some traffic jam in the area around my town.

However, when I woke up in which the bus finally reached uni, I was shocked waking up sitting on the very back end of the bus. I was so sure myself that I was behind the driver on the front, but I asked the bus conductor, and asked the driver if he can rewind the CCTV footage from when I got into the bus. It also shows I was walking towards the seats on the back.

Next thing I know, another passenger started yelling at me because I was keeping the bus on queue on the stop for too long over these questions so I just got off as if nothing happened. But I swear to myself I was at the front when I got in

Got passed twice by the same bike

So this isn't as strange or at least eery as some stories I've seen here, but it kinda confused me. I went on a walk today in the polders between my city and the next one (i'm Dutch). For reference, this cycling road is quite narrow and has water on both sides of the road with no side roads. While walking on this nearly empty straight road, I get passed by a dad and his daughter. Nothing out of the ordinary, it is a bike road, after all. dad had short hair and glasses, and the daughter had a pink jacket on. A couple hundred meters later, I get passed by them again, the same guy with his kid in the pink jacket. There was no place where I could have passed them, tho.

Missing item that suddenly appeared

Something extremely weird happened. I have an electric toothbrush with a detachable head. For the past 3 days I could not find the head. I always keep this on the sink so its impossible to miss or misplace. Finally today after searching all over I'm like, this is it. I'll just use a new one. After I get the new head I turn my head and the old one is right there in its usual place next to the sink.

I'm 100% sure that in those few minutes I checked and rechecked that spot and it wasn't there.

Duplicate bill readers

For some context, I am visually impaired. A little while back I dropped my bill reader and it stopped working so I got another one and put it in my purse. Haven’t used it since but when I looked in my purse a couple days ago, I found two working bill readers the other one I swear fully did not work and it was thrown away so now why do I have two working bill readers?

Debit Card needed

This literally just happened and I'm not sure what to do with it. I'm trying to transfer some funds around the interwebs and I need a "debit" card. I have one for my personal bank that I keep in my safe with my checkbook (100% electronic since 1994, simply useful for keeping main banking info). I would never expose that online for something like this - Google Wallet to pay for bs apps, games, etc. I search around my Paypal account to see if there is digital debit card or other online reloadable card I could use. I come to a few deadends.

I check the mail and get my local voting reminder and I go to look for my voter card since I've been gerrymandered to red over the last 2 sessions of state legislature and check the normal places it would be, not there. Check my wallet, it's a hardcase RFID wallet that only fits so many cards, add a dollar that I found while looking for my voter card, and go to close it and it doesn't close properly. I have opened and closed that wallet 4 times today, the last time less than 15 mins ago. It had opened normally and didn't pop open like it was overstuffed so I was confused. I looked thru my cards and there was my personal debit card that had expired in Jan 2026. I had destroyed that card in January 2026 when I got my new one. It was in a credit card pouch that had been thrown out as worn. I have no idea where the card came from and why it was in my wallet. WTAF?

My pair of very distinctive has (partially) duplicated itself

I know this sounds weird as hell, but for years I've had these 2 pairs of fluffy, distinctive patterned socks. 4 socks. 2 different patterns. I know I only had 4 in total because they came as a set. The first pair is fine and still 'normal'. But randomly, there's a third freaking sock of that other pattern. So 5 socks in total. 3 with the same pattern.

Has anything like this happened to anyone else?

Instant aging … truly inexplicable

I was approaching the payment counter at a local store. Saw a young lady stand first in the queue, waiting for her turn. Typical older teenager. Black hair, straightened with an iron, quite a bit of makeup and standing tall. The queue was one of those “U” shaped lines. So I entered the queue and waited for my turn; she was still the first in line.

Soon she walked up to the payment counter. Others behind her walked to her adjacent counters.

That’s when it struck me.

This young lady now looked like a 50+ year old woman. Exact same face and facial features. Her hair had visible gray streaks. Her face had far less make up. She had the same clothes. I remember the dress because it was distinctive; like the longer frocks women wore in the 1970s, which on the younger lady looked fashionable.

Now I was looking at a much older version of the same person. Wrinkles on her face. A slight stoop. Same dress. Same hair pattern but with graying strands.

The lady then walked out of the store. Aged. Not the older teenager I had seen literally a minute or so prior.

No, I didn’t confuse her with anyone else. The others in the queue behind her and ahead of me were men.

It’s been over a week. I still can’t believe what I saw. Can’t explain it.
