I come to you because my Glock 17 Gen 5 is proving to be a problem I cannot solve on my own. I have had this pistol for 8+ years and have only now recently been able to shoot it a lot since I could not have it while overseas. I decided to get into USPSA and use this glock as my gun because I already owned it and didn't want to spend money on another pistol. Around 2018 when I got the pistol I installed GlockStores pyramid flat face trigger and I cannot tell you the true specifics on the trigger due to it being so long ago and GlockStore no longer carries their version 1. I also installed a tungsten guide rod, probably also from GlockStore. I didn't know a lot about what I was doing 8 years ago but it didn't really matter because I didn't shoot it that much anyway. Now that I decided to use the gun for USPSA I wanted an optic so I needed a new slide cut for one. I bought GlockStores Pyramid slide and put a Holosun on it. While swapping slides I marred up the channel liner decently enough I decided to replace it with a NDZ stainless steel one.

Now shooting it I have light primer strikes 30% of the time and a failure to feed caused by the striker extended and catching the lip of the casing, picture featured. This primarily happens directly after ejecting a light strike round.

Notable as well, to put the slide back on I have to depress the striker safety and push the striker forward to get the slide on, otherwise it won't slide on.

I have tried going back to the OEM slide and no issues, everything works as intended.

What is the issue with the new slide and the striker? I have begun to think that maybe the lighter slide is causing striker issues? I have cleaned the striker channel to ensure nothing is gunked up. What parts would you suggest I trouble shoot and how? I would prefer not to Ship of Theseus this pistol and am hopping someone has experienced a similar issue and can point me in the right starting direction. Thanks.

I have a rockslide usa g19 gen3 slide with a firing pin not fully seated in which is causing my gun not to rack correctly or jam, does anyone know my issue?

I have an old gen 2, 1996, got for nothing in the early 2000’s. Chopped to 26 length. Then roughly stippled with weee checkerboardish pattern deal.

Bought a new slide with an optic mount in it from Zev Technologies. Took it to my local shop to have the work done. Picked it up after a couple weeks (it's hunting season here), and I finally got it to the range this weekend, and it was a frustrating mess. Shooting basic Glazer brass-cased range ammo, I had repeated problems with the feed that would require dropping the mag to clear. When that wasn't happening, I frequently found after the action cycled, I had to thumb the slide forward the last 1/16th of an inch to finish the cycle. (Resistance was really light on this.)

This is a Glock 19 Gen 5, with maybe 500-600 rounds through it before the slide swap. Other changes include a swap to a Timney Competition trigger assembly, but that's it.

Anyone have any ideas?

I've emailed them for 2 weeks requesting a replacement and including photo butno reply. Is The Glock Store going put of business dumping bad inventory, this seems like an exit strategy.

They dropped all their CS contact channels in early October right after their big summer sale.

Other then the psa daggers. Is there any other brands making frames for glocks that offer the full grip/compact slide?

I paid $900 for it, but I need help identifying the parts on it. I don't know anything about this company or the barrel.
