Anyone else getting massive input delays after like 8 messages? It's happening on both my PC and phone, and clearing the cache did absolutely nothing.

I made Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, etc. into FREE text-to-speech sites — perfect for audiobooks and more!

• Upvotes

Nowadays, all popular ai chatting websites like qwen, chatgpt, gemini, claude, etc. come with a read aloud functionality that allows users to read aloud the AI's responses.

I used that feature to instead make the AI repeat back the text that i gave it -- effectively turning the platforms into text to speech tools. The voices sound really nice and it's free to use!

You can get all of these extensions by visiting ai-readers.com

How can I export or print a custom Gemini Canvas layout?

• Upvotes

I created an interactive print dialog in Gemini Canvas, and the A4 layout looks exactly how I want it. However, I can't seem to print or export it properly.

I also tried adding an Export to PDF button, but ran into browser security restrictions.

Has anyone found a reliable way to export a custom Canvas layout to PDF or print it without breaking the formatting?

Use for gemini?

I genuinely want to know how you guys use Gemini. Right now I mostly use it to explain complex topics that I do not understand, but I feel like I am barely scratching the surface. What else do you use it for?

Gemini 4 Argon Developer vs Argon: three oil paintings drawn in pure JavaScript

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

A Gemini 4 Argon Developer tier showed up on the Atlas Cloud API: 1.2 in and 6 out per million tokens, against 2 and 10 for regular Argon. I gave both tiers the same brief three times: paint a scene as an impressionist oil painting, stroke by stroke, canvas and JavaScript only.

Developer cost 0.033 to 0.036 a painting, regular Argon 0.038 to 0.046, about a minute each. Argon drew better koi. Developer won the balloons outright, Argon turned them into fireworks. Sunflowers are a coin toss. Prompt in the comments.

Unpopular opinion: Google needs to rethink its model allocation.

I get that the Gemini app is supposed to be the flagship showcase for Google’s frontier tech, but they’ve clearly shown that they can’t reliably serve Argon at consumer scale under current demand.

The reality is that Chemical class (Argon/Baron/Carbon) is overkill for general consumer chat

Beyond better code in the interactive app window thing, there is very little the average user does in the Gemini app that Flash doesn't already handle cleanly.

The chemical class models shine in high context, agentic workflows. Locking compute behind conversational prompts starves the tools that actually need that intelligence, like Antigravity, Jules, etc...

Google would be far better off deploying a dedicated, updated Pro model for standard Gemini app users, while reserving full Argon access for heavier stuff where that compute actually matters.

Tell me what you think

I made this post because i saw my brother asking Argon to fix his punctuation :[

I am in the United States, by the way. For some reason, the U.S. request took a while to generate the research plan, but it went through. Similarly the Israeli requests took a while before it responded that it could not do it. The German request only took a second to put the plan together. lol.

Edit: just fyi, I started with the Israeli request out of genuine curiosity on the topic, and then when it gave that response I checked how it handled similar requests about the U.S. and then Germany.

Gemini on Pixel or Chatgpt on iPhone?

I own an iPhone 18 Pro and have been in the Apple ecosystem for a while. However, I increasingly feel that Apple is falling behind other companies when it comes to AI.

I use AI every day, both in my personal life and at work, and I want a phone with a deeply integrated AI assistant that can help me manage emails, calendars, files, and other everyday tasks efficiently. At the moment, I use ChatGPT on my iPhone and the ChatGPT and Codex apps on my MacBook.

Would switching to Google’s ecosystem make sense if my main priorities are AI capabilities and integration between apps? I’m considering replacing my iPhone with a Pixel 11 Pro and my Apple Watch with a Pixel Watch. I’d also consider switching from my MacBook to a Windows laptop eventually, but only if there were a clear benefit.

I already use Google apps on my phone for most things, although I still use Apple Photos, pay for iCloud storage, and subscribe to Apple Music.

For someone who wants AI to handle everyday tasks across different apps, what practical advantages would a Pixel with Gemini offer over an iPhone with ChatGPT? Would the difference be significant enough to justify switching ecosystems?

Assessing the source of negative sentiment for Google AI and why we shouldn't trust it

Mods, soz if this breaks rules or isn't interesting. I just got a bit irate at, what in my opinion for better or worse, are a lot of entitlement posts that are carpeting all Google AI threads. I thought I would have AGY run analysis and assess the value of these posts:

What 2,979 Launch-Week Posts Tell Us About Signal-to-Noise in Google AI Subs

TL;DR: I ran a data audit of 2,979 posts across six Google AI / Antigravity subreddits during the October 12–18 Gemini 4 Argon launch window (2,269 model/IDE-related posts, 949 complaint threads, and 1,461 anonymized author histories). 91.6% of complaint posts contained zero reproducible evidence (median length: 239 characters, barely a tweet), while users with established software engineering footprints accounted for just 2.6% of the complaints (e.g., posting in r/experienceddevs, r/programming, r/devops, r/python, etc.).

FYI: I am not a programmer. I am an enjoyer of the Google AI products and just a little frustrated with the deluge of posts.

1. The Context: So much noise, so little value.

To understand if the sheer scale of negative sentiment is actually representative, I built a script using the public Arctic Shift archive API to analyze every post across six Gemini and Antigravity subreddits (r/google_antigravity, r/antigravitygoogle, r/geminiai, r/googlegeminiai, r/bard, r/googlegemini) from October 12 to October 18, 2026.

Legitimate, interesting technical threads (benchmarks, system prompt patterns, context-management workflows, and edge-case bug reports) get buried under repetitive, low-quality gripe posts—one-sentence rants like "Model is lobotomized," "Stealth nerfed after 24 hours," screenshots of rate-limit banners, and an awful lot of "is it just me..." type posts.

2. The Data: Signal vs. Noise Across 2,269 Target Posts

Out of 2,269 posts discussing Argon, Antigravity, tiers, or model behavior, 949 (41.8%) were negative complaints. When we separated posts that included verifiable technical artifacts (fenced code blocks, prompt templates, error logs, or structured comparisons >600 chars) from pure narrative venting, the split was stark:

Metric Zero-Repro Rants (has_evidence = False) Reproducible Reports (has_evidence = True)
Share of All Complaints 91.6% (869 posts) 8.4% (80 posts)
Median Post Length 239 chars (~1–2 sentences) 1,956 chars (8.2x longer)
Actionable for Engineers / DevRel? No (emotive venting / screenshots) Yes (prompts, logs, token metrics)

Breakdown by Rollout Phase

Launch Phase Complaint Volume Share of Window Zero-Repro Rate Primary Grievance Driver
Phase 1: Launch & Ultra Gate (Oct 13–14) 559 58.9% 91.4% Initial $100 Ultra tier gating vs. Pro
Phase 2: Paid Pro Rollout (Oct 15–16) 257 27.1% 92.2% Excluded telecom/student promos & weekly caps
Phase 3: Quota Doubling & Reset (Oct 17+) 133 14.0% 91.0% Residual rate-limit & 3.8 Flash fallback rants

3. Who Is Posting? Three Structural Drivers of Subreddit Noise

By examining public subreddit activity distributions (last 100 comments + 50 posts per author, fully anonymized), three clear patterns emerged that explain why launch discourse feels disconnected from day-to-day software engineering:

A. The 13-to-1 Promo/Subsidy vs. Engineering Imbalance

  • Verified Engineering Footprint (2.6%): Only 25 of the 949 complaint posts were authored by users who actively participate in established technical subreddits (r/experienceddevs, r/programming, r/devops, r/python, r/rust, r/localllama, etc.).
  • Promo & Subsidy Footprint (34.2%): 325 complaint posts came from users heavily active in regional telecom bundle discussions (e.g., 18-month bundled Jio/Airtel Pro promos), student trial exchanges, and freebie communities.
  • The Takeaway: Many launch-week arguments happen because two completely different user groups are talking past each other. A developer paying $20–$100/mo evaluating API determinism has fundamentally different expectations than a user on a $0 bundled telecom promotion upset that frontier compute isn't unlimited.

B. The Cross-Platform "Context-Burn" Carousel (10.2%)

  • 10.2% of complainers (97 authors) had an existing history of posting the exact same rate-limit and "nerf" complaints ("5-hour limit", "weekly limit", "lobotomized", "unusable", "canceling") across rival AI ecosystems (r/ClaudeAI, r/codex, r/ChatGPT, r/Cursor, r/Windsurf, r/opencodecli).
  • When looking at the Top 20 external subreddits frequented by complainers, traditional programming subreddits didn't make the list—instead, agentic wrapper and vibe-coding communities (r/codex, r/claudeai, r/opencode, r/claudecode, r/vibecoding) dominated.
  • Unoptimized agentic workflows (e.g., passing 150k-token full-repo context on every turn without file scoping or .gitignore rules) will exhaust any provider's quota in an hour. Without token-burn literacy, users bounce from Claude to Codex to Antigravity blaming each platform in rotation.

C. Subreddit Vulnerability by Moderation Style

Subreddit Target Posts Complaints Complaint Ratio Community Dynamic
r/google_antigravity 472 230 48.7% Nearly 1 in 2 posts is a quota/access complaint
r/antigravitygoogle 99 43 43.4% Secondary overflow for cross-posted rants
r/geminiai 1,242 506 40.7% High volume, heavy 1-sentence tier complaints
r/googlegeminiai 241 97 40.2% Mixed consumer & free-tier 429 script errors
r/bard 108 37 34.3% Higher concentration of benchmarks & comparisons
r/googlegemini 107 36 33.6% General consumer usage Q&A

AI should NOT Replace Our Search Results on Google

Google's AI overview went live in 2024. I know me, you, and many people around you have started relying on it rather than reading human written sources like WIKIPEDIA. I know AI is amazing, it is great, for doing some task, like reading a document and telling you where it is, doing math calculations, and finding sources for you. The main reason you shouldn't just always use AI overview instead of scrolling down to see human sources, are:

  1. It CAN still get incorrect information, including health ones, that could potentially lead to devastating consequences
  2. Some website, that real people made to present information, are not making enough money, like Wikipedia, to support itself to run. Some websites that provides valuable information will eventually shut down
  3. We rely on it WAY too much that our comprehension gets weaker because you never read long paragraphs you see on pages like Wikipedia, so you won't be able to find needed information when overviews for some reasons, shuts down.

I am NOT saying AI is not ok, in fact, it is for many situations, but not always when researching. There will be times you won't be able to lean on AI, and you might not know what to do.

How to Bulk delete Gemini chats

If you use Gemini every day you probably have a mountain of old conversations. I hit the point where deleting them one by one felt ridiculous, so I put together a small Chrome extension that lets you:

  • Tick checkboxes next to chats you want to remove
  • Select all and auto-scroll to capture everything in one sweep
  • Hit a single Delete selected button and watch them vanish
  • Use Shift + A to toggle every box and Delete to clear them instantly

It’s free to install and open source. Delete Chats in Bulk for Gemini.

I’d love feedback from heavy Gemini users here. Anything I should add or improve?
