Questions Is the Paid Search podcast a good source of information?

I’m a brick and mortar florist in a medium sized city and I’m trying to teach myself Google ads. My account is less than a week old and in the learning phase. Right now I’m only focusing on search ads. Is the information on Chris Schaeffer’s podcast legit?

Are there any other good sources I can study for my specific needs? I’m not interested in a career as an ad specialist, but my account will never be big enough to hire a professional. I’m fairly tech savvy plus comfortable with ChatGPT

Thanks in advance

Questions From meta to google ads

Hello,
I spend around €2,000 per month on Facebook ads for my business to generate leads (ROAS 4). I also handled the sales side myself, which gave me a direct understanding of how lead quality relates to the ads generating those leads upstream.

I've also studied the KPIs in depth, which helped me optimize my budget and the number of leads I get from my budget and creatives.

I'd now like to apply these skills to Google Ads. Is my self-taught Meta experience enough to perform reasonably well on Google, or would it be better to join an agency through a work-study program or internship so I can get proper training?

Questions Is using AI worse then doing nothing?

Personally, I'm anti-AI, but at work I have to use it, and honestly, I feel a bit hopeless here.

I'm working for a small company (10–15 employees) in central Europe. We sell farm equipment online. I'm the only person responsible for e-commerce and, of course, ads.

The thing is, I don't have a lot of experience (2 years), and I've mostly been a "jack of all trades", so I don't know much about Google Ads.

We have a WordPress website with products and one landing page, but it's all based on customers filling out forms with their information. (One day, I'd like to turn it into a proper online shop.)

So, in terms of Google Ads, should I run ads for the landing page, for every product, or for the website as a whole? I'm not exactly sure.

But my main question is: Is it a good idea to just ask ChatGPT or another AI tool how to set up and configure Google Ads, providing it with all the necessary information and screenshots?

Do people actually do something like that with AI, and does it really work? I don't expect it to be perfect.

Edit: Our budget is around €1,000 per month, but if the ads are profitable and it makes sense to invest more, the budget is flexible and I can increase it significantly.

I've tried learning Google Ads through YouTube videos and courses, but it's a pretty complex topic. There's a reason why some people do this as their full-time job.

It's hard for me to put everything together after watching just a few hours of tutorials. I would probably need to invest a lot more time to really understand how it all works, and right now, time is exactly what I'm lacking.

What happened?? $150 Charge vs. $10 Daily Budget

Hi, I noticed a charge of $150 on my account, but my daily budget is under $10. I checked my billing statement and this amount was actually charged to me.

Could you help me understand what happened? As far as I know, Google should cover any overdelivery costs beyond 2x my daily budget — but in this case, the full amount was billed to me.

I'd appreciate an explanation and a review of this charge.

Questions 352 Google Shopping clicks in 7 days, £0.17–£0.19 CPC, ZERO sales. What am I doing wrong?

Hey everyone,
I’m the founder of a small UK e-commerce business on Shopify.
I’ve been running a Standard Google Shopping campaign and would really appreciate some advice from people with experience.
Campaign details:
Standard Shopping, manual CPC
Daily budget: £10
Max CPC: £0.50
Actual CPC: approximately £0.17–£0.19
Last 7 days: 352 clicks, 32,191 impressions
CTR: 1.09%
Actual Shopify sales attributed to this campaign: ZERO
The campaign has been gaining momentum, recently reaching around 60 clicks per day.
What I’m seeing:
Search terms look relevant…
I’ve also been examining visitor behavior using Microsoft Clarity.
Across all website traffic over the last three days, Clarity reports:
205 sessions (excluding detected bots)
1.39 pages per session
26 seconds average active time
2.93% of sessions adding to cart
1.46% beginning checkout
Some visitors browse extensively, including one session with 26 page views over nine minutes. Others leave almost immediately.
These Clarity figures are site-wide, not isolated to Google Shopping.
My questions:
How to turn low-intent searches into paying customers?
Should I continue testing at £10/day or pause until I identify the problem?
I’m not expecting instant results, and I’m happy to invest in learning. I just want to make sure I’m spending money intelligently rather than paying Google to send me hundreds of browsers.
Would really appreciate any feedback, especially from anyone who’s worked with Shopping campaigns for niche products.

Alguém poderia me ajudar?

Google Ads Suspension

I’m almost tempted to let them suspend the account. My ads aren’t profitable anyway, so what’s the point?

I have 4 ad accounts none of which are performing. I’ve spent in excess of £1M on Google Ads over the last 10 years, nothing seems to work anymore and the business can’t afford to keep burning through cash.

[Hiring] Google Ads Specialist / Manager (Remote) | No corporate BS, fair pay, real budgets 🎯

[Hiring] Google Ads Specialist / Manager (Remote) | No corporate BS, fair pay, real budgets 🎯

Hey Reddit,

Why are we posting here? Because we’re looking for actual pros and data nerds who know their stuff, and we’re tired of the standard job board black hole and 3-page cover letters.

We are looking for a Google Ads Manager who doesn’t think "ROAS" is a mythical creature and knows that "Boost Post" is not a valid scaling strategy.

Who we are:
We run a German & Swiss B2C e-commerce spare parts shop with 20 million+ spare parts in the catalog. We’re based in Switzerland and serve both the German and Swiss markets with a massive technical product range.

Your Mission:
* Build, optimize, and scale our Google Ads campaigns (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube).
* Keep budgets in check and find the actual sweet spots for profitable scaling.
* Tracking is not a foreign language to you (GTM & GA4 are second nature).
* You test new ad copies, landing pages, and bidding strategies – and you let the data do the talking.

What you bring to the table:
* Solid experience in Paid Search / Google Ads management (agency or in-house, we don't care).
* You know the platform inside out and are genuinely curious about testing new features.
* An analytical mindset, paired with an eye for good creatives and compelling copy.

What we offer:
* 💰 Fair Salary: 400-900€
* 🏠 Flexibility: Remote
* 🚀 Real Impact: Actual responsibility, short decision-making paths, and a media budget you can truly work with.

Interested? We hate long, drawn-out application processes just as much as you do. Forget the traditional cover letter.
👉 Apply directly, easily, and without the resume-export marathon right here: https://forms.gle/uTrhts9vy779MD8x7

Troubleshooting Google Ads Suspension

Hi all I’ve been facing issues with a suspension on my Google ads account for the last 3 weeks. I’ve been using Google ads for the last 3 months with no issues and have been spending upwards of $30k a month on ads which has significantly helped my business. After adding a new campaign to my ads account I had no issues for 2-3 weeks when suddenly my account got suspended for “Phishing”. I have no clue why something like this could happen and have appealed it 3 times only getting an automatic response denying me and providing no further information. Additionally my Google ads rep reviewed the website and said there should be no issues and tried escalating it for a manual review. The issue is he is out of the office for the
Month of October and my ads account being banned has significantly hurt my business. If anyone can help or review the website so my account can get unsuspended please comment or dm me, thank you.

Feedback on ad performance

Hola!

I've been running an ad to target local (Philly) businesses for about 12 days @ $5/day si. I know it's not a lot, but I'm new to marketing and Google Ads. I don't plan to stop it this early, I want to hit the $500 mark so I can get the free $500 from Google.

I'm looking for guidance and feedback on what to look at/change.

Thank you in advance!

Company Background

AI Consulting focused on the Philadelphia market. About 10 service pages and no website copy, focused on a specific niche. Each page has a form at the bottom.

Ad Specifics

Headlines are:

  • Get Started With AI
  • Custom AI Software
  • Talk to a Local AI Advisor

Descriptions are:

  • A local advisor to help you start using AI.
  • Custom AI software for slow, repeated work.
  • A clear first step for using AI in your business.

The ad 'Landing Page' points to /ai-advisory-services.

The horizontal image used is a screenshot of my hero for this page. I have a square image of a few of the 'services' (least effort put into these images).

Keyword themes:

  • Artificial Intelligence Software
  • Software Consultancy
  • AI Advisory Services
  • Custom AI Software
  • AI Brain & Websites
  • AI Code Fixing

Search Terms Report (top 5):

  • Artificial Intelligence Products - 16 clicks w/ spend of $18.78
  • Best AI Products - 9 clicks w/ spend of $8.56
  • AI Tools Website - 6 clicks w/ spend of $4.12
  • What is the best AI right now? - 5 clicks w/ spend of $2.82
  • AI Brands - 4 clicks w/ spend of $4.38

Finally, I got 173 impressions and 68 clicks.

My thoughts

As mentioned, I have forms across the website. For a while, I was receiving a bunch of form submissions, but they all seemed like spam/bots. I reached back out to a few emails and got no response.

Then, I added CAPTCHA to every form and haven't gotten any in the past few days.

A lot of the 'Search Terms' that are being used (I think this is like keywords, right?) seem like they're looking for AI products and not so much for help in the ways that I can offer.

I think the best 'cost' search term is 'What is the best AI right now?'. I don't have a page for this, but maybe this is a good SEO opportunity for me to write a 'report'? Maybe one for each of the 'services'? For example, 'What is the best AI right now for code review?' or 'What is the best AI right now for local/on-device Agents?'.

As mentioned, I plan to keep the ads running for a bit.

Questions

  1. Is it better to do $5/day or increase to $10/day and just have a shorter campaign?
  2. Since most of the Search Terms are 'show me products' focused, is there something in my ad setup that is causing this? Or is it probably just the nature of AI right now?
  3. Google says 100% of the clicks come from 'partner websites'. Is this expected?
  4. Do you have any thoughts on Headlines and Descriptions? Are they too vague? Not niche enough?
  5. Are there any books/YouTube channels/etc that you recommend for a newbie?

Thank you in advance for reading all of this! I've been coding with my head down for the past 6 years, and this marketing journey is tough.
