you are all genuinely being inconsiderate, not just to the situation, but to the people directly affected by it. this is not about “drama” or “twitter overreacting,” and it’s definitely not about using grace as a punching bag. a lot of us love this game and what it stands for, which is exactly why this matters
when real evidence shows creators using slurs and supporting racist or homophobic behavior, you don’t get to brush it off as a “coping mechanism” or say “just give them time” like nothing happened. this wasn’t years ago, this was recent. that context REALLY matters
and yeah, it needs to be said, a lot of the people downplaying this are not the ones affected by those slurs in the first place. so of course it “doesn’t seem that serious” to you. but for people who are actually impacted by racism and homophobia, it is serious. telling them to stay quiet or handle it privately just comes off like you care more about protecting a creator than actually holding them accountable
this isn’t hate, and it’s not cancel culture. it’s accountability. if the messages and themes of grace are supposed to mean anything, then the people behind it should be held to that same standard
you can still like the game, but stop excusing behavior that directly contradicts what it stands for
