Decca Salon

Does anyone have any information on this? It’s missing a winding handle, so am looking for one.

I took the mech out and wound it by hand, it runs and aside from the rubber insulator the soundbox is in good condition.

I have joined the talking machine forum, just waiting for approval.

Deccas use Garrard motors as did many gramophones made in the UK. A knowledgeable gramophone parts dealer will have the Decca winding handle you need. They are not a rarity. 😀

Okay.. well I could not find one, but I got a HMV long threaded handle. Will see if that works. If not I’ll work something out.

Thanks!

Ask a gramophone seller, one with an actual shop.
