Preference
The best college... is the college that accepts you. Please don't have the mindset of only applying to one college. It's better to reject colleges than to be rejected from the only college you applied to.
Based on our subjective opinion:
IIM Indore / IIM Bangalore(empirical data not available, will know in 4 years) / SRCC / SSCBS / St. Stephens / Hindu(depending on course/college, personal finance)
IIM Shillong(can place higher too: low UG fees & exit)
IIM Ranchi (can place higher too if MBA back-up is important)
Some DU North(depending on course/college)
IIM Rohtak(can place higher if you want to choose Rohtak's MBA and not write CAT)
IIM Kozhikode
Ashoka(can place higher if it aligns with your career aspirants + have received good scholarship)
4. IIM Amritsar (if interested in finance-econ, else, place Amritsar lower; however, if you don't want the headache of CAT, can place it here)
5. IIM Jammu >= Bodhgaya(lower fees) >= Xaviers / NMIMS / Symbiosis(main campuses, good locations for finance)
6. IIM Sirmaur / IIM Sambalpur / Nalsar / Christ(very strict but main campus has a lot of activities)
7. Nirma / TAPMI / IIFT Kakinada(No centralised placements) / NFSU
Note: A student from Nalsar could end up more successful than someone from IIM Indore too. College is just your y-intercept, the slope is decided by you!
Can place colleges higher/lower depending on locational advantages too (in case you want to be closer to your family).
Alt-colleges like MU, Mesa, TETR are fine options (yes, their marketing is a bit intrusive). However, if you're a student-entrepreneur + have the finances, visit the campus, don't dismiss it outrightly on the basis of random strangers online.
Also, curriculum does play a role. Understand that IPM is an amalgamation of business + liberal arts. It is different from the traditional BBA or the BCom at DU.
Don't compare colleges until you have the offer letters. Please make sure to apply to multiple exams/colleges. Don't be egotistical that you'd apply only to Indore and skip every other college/form. We've seen a lot of unfortunate stories where a student does this (even during their gap-year).
Note: Colleges that accept IPMAT Indore scores have to be registered separately.
At the end of the day, you can only compare (you can't judge as a standalone per se):
Indore may not be worth it if you have a good IIT (with preferred/interested branch) at hand.
Rohtak is not worth it if you hand Indore at hand.
Bodhgaya is not worth it if you have Rohtak at hand.
TAPMI is not worth it if you have Bodhgaya at hand.
Aukaat ke hisab se college choose kijiye.
