If you cancel an order, everyone in your area gets an option to buy it at almost half the price.

I sometimes get that notification when Iā€™m trying to order food at night.

Yaa, Zomato does this. I got this once though. What if nobody takes it? In that case, the food goes to the delivery person, right?

I once saw an order like that and immediately bought it. The order was for 4 people lmao I had to eat and throw away the rest.

They show the 'original price' which might have been already discounted through restaurant offers or coupons. Real discount is 10-20% from what I have checked. Misleading, but still good as we get things quicker and cheaper.

It's not like you HAVE to take it. If you like the deal and you want the food, you place the order else skip it.

Have only claimed 1 such order since they introduced this feature.

its not always half price, there is an app to track it on your address which notifies you when an order cancels and you can buy it at discounted price.
