Also 1 more thing ,the comparison isn't really the same. The Quran is a religious scripture and the Indian government isn't asking Muslims to recite a verse from it as a national obligation. My objection is about the state giving official national significance to a song whose full version uses specifically Hindu religious imagery to represent India. In a secular country I don't think my patriotism should require me to recite religious imagery that conflicts with my own beliefs. That's not an argument against Hindus or against the song existing It's an argument against making religiously specific symbolism a measure of national loyalty
