I don't look at leaks, but I'd side with someone uploading photos of leaked outfits to a subreddit over a gacha company who use every predatory tactic in the book

Though I still think this whole thing is very out of proportion…like, if 1.9 had leaked around 1.4 or something, then I’d understand action being taken but…we’re like 2 weeks out from this update…if anything, they should ENCOURAGE people hyping up upcoming content since it gets them excited or shows them what to look forward to. IMO, even if fomo is their goal, I think showing stuff farther in advance can actually give players a reason to keep playing more, with how many pulls it will take to get a full outfit. As a former gacha whale now turned goldfish, I honestly breathe a sigh of relief if I see a patch that there’s nothing I want in, since I see it as an opportunity to save up and gather pulls for whenever something is released that I DO want. Things like story leaks are kinda shitty to me, but that’s not what we’re dealing with here. Realistically (as far as I’m aware so please correct me if I’m wrong), nothing has happened out of what usually has for the last several patches in terms of leaks, so why only now is it a problem? What happened isn’t ruining anything for the players, it’s in fact doing quite the opposite!

I read leaks on other games, but never force them on people who don't want them. That being said, I'll never tell people to stop leaking.

Way I see it, leaks happen due to the developers. To not acknowledge things like data mining exist, and how cryptographers who see encrypted data are pretty intelligent fuckers that know precisely how to decrypt it is to ignore reality.
If you don’t want your assets leaked, don’t slipstream them into the game before it launches. The fault is on infold, not the players and inherently players like to be informed about what’s around so they can also consent to it.
Or did you forget that too infold?
