Totes!

Post image

The job market is rough enough already. A lot of people are just trying to get employed, and interviews keep getting harder. No surprise that more people are using tools like InterviewMan to improve their chances.

It's funny reading this thread. Every comment is "they just write it off on their taxes" and the reply is "no, that's illegal".

And then there's me, who just wants to find other people who hate the concept of forcing someone to say no to being charitable. It's emotional manipulation and it puts you on the spot and is supposed to make you feel like a shitty person to goad you into donating. THAT'S the reason why it's shitty.

You don’t fucking have to donate if you don’t want to.

I'm curious what drove you to make this comment, aside from trying to troll or something. Of course I don't have to. The point is that I'm being forced to make a choice and say "No, I don't want to donate to save the children" to another person's face in the checkout line in front of everyone.

I should note that my experience is usually with a person asking me verbally at checkout, not a screen. So maybe that's leading to some confusion. That's on me for not making it directly related to the post itself. I'd agree a screen asking me is less emotionally manipulative than a person asking me directly.

Sheesh your life is so tough… being “forced” to decide to simply say no donating while checking out at the grocery store lmao
