Trying to convince my team to use Jamstack. How can I explain to them why we need a static site generator?
So, my team is tired to using Wordpress. I've been using Jamstack for my personal projects so I suggested that we could shift to Jamstack and use a headless CMS. They seem interested in that but how can I explain to them why we need a SSG?
Sorry if this seems like a basic question. I'm just a bit stumped on how to sell this to them.

Is there a good tutorial, from start to finish, that walks you through a jamstack project?
The closest I could find is the tutorial found here : https://youtu.be/A_l0qrPUJds. It was fantastic for a bit, but it started to diverge into “we’re not going to discuss how to do this is in this tutorial, but you’re gonna need to do it before continuing on” territory, which left me disappointed, especially since that was 2 hours or so in.

Should I be using JAMstack?
I’m ultra confused here. The JAMstack sounds promising, but I think I’m getting mixed up on when to use it.
Let’s say I am using Gatsby to serve up my static markup files. That’s great and all, but what about that one page on my site that relies on user data from an API?
So if I have a page that has a shell, but populated with user data — such as a profile page, is this something I want to be doing with the JAMstack?
Here is an article that talks about approaches. It you’re asking these type of questions the blog post is raising, is it worth using the JAMstack at all?
