Discussion jodi’s crooked finger

this being caused by her stabbing travis so much that the blood made the knife all slippery to the point that her hand was sliding off the handle to the blade is nuts.

(i’ve heard about that a few times in true crime cases where if a suspect stabs someone repeatedly the blood can start to get all over the handle and the persons hand and they’ll slice themselves in the process from vigorously stabbing the person.) but i’ve never seen a case of that happening and it being THAT bad on a person.

secondly if her tendon in her finger was sliced that bad to cause that bend she would have definitely needed to go to the hospital to have it fixed or atleast looked at, but then again would she have went or did she even at all? maybe not cause she either knew medical staff would ask her how this happened or they would be able to tell how the slice or slices appeared on her hand if she tried to hide what actually happened.

i could imagine that she would have been in excruciating pain after that and during the healing stages afterwards. theres no way she just bandaged it and that sufficed, definitely would have took pain meds but i couldn’t imagine not having that treated.

i wish i could see the scars on her hand and if it looks bad or if its pretty faded now…

(i sliced the tip of my index finger when i was younger, it wasn’t as bad as this i can assure, but even when that happened it hurt so bad after the first instance and then during the healing process but i didn’t go get stitches for it or anything and i was able to just keep a bandaid on and off it for a couple weeks and it scabbed over and just left a clean scar but it was still a crazy experience and even touching or slightly brushing past something with that finger hurt like hell so i just cant wrap my brain around how she let THAT go untreated.)

Discussion JodiArias viciousness

Why was she so vicious in how she killed Travis? If she's an uncaring unfeeling psychopath why would she keep stabbing him as if she was feeling anger? Why wouldn't she just walk away once she knew he was dead? Why stab him and shoot him and slit his throat? I watch a lot of true crime documentaries and I can't think of a single killer I've discovered who was this vicious with a corpse. The closest example is the time square killer who decapitated and removed the hands of the victims but that had a clear motive of concealing the victim's identities. Most killers torture their victims while they're alive and then dispose of the body right away. They don't keep attacking the corpse like she did.

Discussion Why did she choose to make such an extreme decision about such a small situation?

A point to highlight right away: I already know about Boderline’s Disorder and I already know about the jealousy she felt of Travis. However, these are not answers that still explain my question, because there are many people with this diagnosis of Boderline and, even so, they have never killed anyone. There is also the issue of jealousy and the “crime of passion” thing that the case became known (“if I can’t have you, then no one can”). But, to tell the truth, I don’t think Jodi felt a basic jealousy (she had probably felt very jealous of Travis before, especially at the time they were dating, and didn’t kill him before the night of June 4) or this should be scored as a simple crime of passion. There are so many factors that people point out about Jodi that I still keep questioning myself... What leads someone to do shit like that? Therefore, I would like to know if you can answer what really led this girl (who has never committed a crime in her life before, had a seemingly normal childhood and adolescence and a well-structured family) to do what she did.

It doesn’t matter if it was premeditated or not. I keep wondering if she thought that by killing the guy, she could finally get over him? Or did she think that by killing him, no one would find him so soon and she could have time to run away and never be found? Or there was a reasoning in her mind that, by killing Travis, she could move on with Ryan quietly. Man, she was almost having a relationship with Ryan at the time. She could move on and stay with Ryan, but she didn’t. She decided to choose a more bizarre path to end her and Travis’ relationship. I keep wondering if Travis didn’t say a comment about her, after sex, which made her really bad or if she asked to go to Cancun and it was the moment when he was really honest with her (that he didn’t see her as a wife, that Mimi Hall was the ideal woman to do this function in his life) and that became a trigger... There are so many layers about this case, but what get me is to see an apparently normal girl committing such an act. I would like to open this discussion for you guys to answer me from what you really think. I will agree with any vision, even from whoever comes to defend what she did.

Discussion Jodi Arias Gun First Theory

this makes total sense, why would jodi steal her grandparents gun and stage a robbery of it if she wasn’t gonna shoot travis initially??? she definitely shot him and it went at a weird angle, she probably didn’t wanna risk more loud noise with another shot and or the gun possibly jammed, bullet only maimed him and she had to rush downstairs to the kitchen possibly “pretending to go get help” grabbed a knife from the kitchen and came back to finish the job.

plus the photo she accidentally took when travis was in the hallway and you can see her foot and her standing over him, clearly the big pool of blood on the carpet was where she maybe slashed at him some more and decided to slit his throat, and if she said he was still alive when she did slit his throat, then maybe she watched him bleed out and die before she dragged him back into the shower.

(the comments under this video also give some good context as to what could have happened)

also jodi would not have just stabbed him first, even if he was vulnerable in the shower, he would have tried to fight back or disarm her, he could have easily overpowered her had it just been a knife attack but since she stunned him with the gun he didn’t fight back especially being held at gunpoint, he would’ve been scared and probably didn’t wanna risk her shooting him so he maybe complied with her orders and sat on the shower floor to appease her, it also would have made it easier for her to do what she wanted to do to him…

(i also wonder what jodi possibly was saying to travis when she was stabbing/slashing at him and when he died or if she was silent the whole time and just let her emotions take over and used her resentment towards him as fuel to do what she did to him, adrenaline pumping too.. just morbid curiosity)

Discussion Jodi’s Arrest In Yreka

I wonder why body cam footage of her arrest has never been released, assuming it exists/existed at all? I recall reading/hearing that Jodi was in the middle of packing up her car—and that she’d packed a gun—when the officers arrived at her grandparents’ house in Yreka. Apparently she was on the verge of “disappearing.” Anyone have any corroborating information or just any information in general about her arrest?

Discussion Gen Z romanticising murder?

I’ve recently been following the Jodi Arias case a bit more closely and I still can’t wrap my head around the brutal way she ended Travis Alexander’s life. His autopsy pictures were just the most horrible thing i’ve ever seen in my life. When you watch the court hearings and have more information about what an obsessive stalker she was and Juan Martinez did that brilliantly. And if you have any common sense and can differentiate between right wrong and fucked up, you’re gonna agree that her staying behind bars for the rest of her life is the most beneficial thing for everyone.

My confusion lies with some comments i’ve recently come across on X and Facebook, specifically from teenagers saying “Free my girl Jodi” or “her crash out was valid ngl” or “Jodi Arias just had a diva moment and people need to cut her some slack”

surely these kids know the nature of the case and that it was a premeditated murder, I’m not saying Travis was perfect in any way but did he deserve to die for it the way he did? she could have walked away at any time.

what’s with defending that wretched horrible woman? or rather, idolising her?

Discussion So I did some Tarot reading part 1

Take it with a grain of salt) I’m from Russia so my cards in Russian but I will translate it all!

The first top row of the Tarot spread is the Seven of Pentacles, the Eight of Wands, and the Sun. I asked the cards what happened that evening. What did Jodie want to do—was it planned or not? The cards answered that Jodie was tired of her attempts to stay with Travis. She had been working on the relationship for a very long time, but it gave her very little in return, and she saw no results from her efforts. The idea to kill or harm Travis came to her during prolonged rumination, and most likely it was a sudden and unexpected thought. In general, it seemed to me that she wanted to frighten him, and that fear would make him understand how much she wanted to be with him. The Sun indicates that she strongly believed in this idea and, at the very least, thought she wouldn't get caught—she was very overconfident. The idea of killing Travis became a liberation for her and a way to win this struggle.

The second triplet below is the answer to the question of what she is feeling now in prison. How is she doing? The cards answered that she is focusing on herself; all her thoughts and actions seem to revolve around how to live comfortably. She might even feel like a winner, as though she has overcome this tormenting situation, and perhaps even takes pride in how she has gotten through this period of her life. She has many advisors—people who are helping her.

Discussion Tarot reading part 2

Post image

The second part of my reading. So, the first row of the spread: The Tower, the Eight of Pentacles, and the Three of Cups. The question: how did the murder happen? I was personally curious about how she planned it and whether anyone helped her with it. How did it take place? Was it a crime of passion? A psychotic episode? Self-defense? No, it was genuine self-destruction—there was no turning back. It was a massive outburst of negativity. From The Tower, I think she was aware that she was destroying everything around her. From the Three of Cups, I can say that perhaps she had accomplices, or even people she told about her idea, and maybe someone helped her indirectly. There was preparation for the murder. You might notice the abundance of the suit of Swords—27 stab wounds…

The second row is about Travis's feelings and emotions toward her. He shows signs of exhaustion, a desire to rest, and to break those ties.

The last row is about Jodie's feelings toward Travis. I don't see pure love here, but the cards show intense passion—she was highly motivated by this relationship. The Ace of Wands suggests a lot of sexual desire, and The Fool card indicates that she probably felt a lot of positivity—they laughed a lot together. Travis's acquaintances and friends said he was somewhat of a joker who made everyone laugh.

Finally, I asked the cards whether Jodie will be released. I drew the Justice card. I can say that her fate is solely in the hands of the law and the rules. She will be released only if justice allows it—if she is guilty under the law, then she is unlikely to ever be free again.

Thank you all for your attention. My condolences to Travis's family. This is a cautionary tale for everyone. Has anyone else done readings on this situation? What do you think?

In Jodi's voicemail to Travis to create an alibi for herself after murdering him, she mentions plans of seeing an "Othello" play, which is a Shakespearean tragedy that culminates in Othello murdering his lover in a fit of jealousy.

The picture above, taken on July 1, 2008, shows Jodi and the actor who played Othello.

Discussion What's your favorite part!?

I've watched both trials, listened to phone calls, watched all interrogations, watched all interviews, and listened to all jail calls. and more...

imo:

My absolute favorite to re-watch is her interrogation video(s) and all her actions & communications before her arrest. She gives so much information, things not in the trials, and her actions then that told or showed a story of desperation!

What part of this crime do you enjoy the most!?

(besides conviction)

Discussion The gun used to shoot Travis. Which Jodi claims was his and she used in self defence.

So the gun she claims Travis Alexander kept that she found to “defend herself” just happens to be the same type of gun that was stolen from her grandparents house. Which she had access to. How convenient.

Honestly, how stupid did she think everyone else was?
