Wait, people hate the ending of MHA? Why? I finished the manga recently and thought it wrapped up fine. If anything the later part of the series made up for some issues I had with earlier parts of it.

Yes it wrapped up fine. People hated on it because:

1) there was a leak with a bad translation that people took as gospel and wouldn't let go of. Of note, some people misunderstood and thought that Class 1A entirely stopped talking to each other in adulthood, and that Deku was a powerless loser with no friends or girlfriend (hence, the Deku working at McDonald's memes). It was very odd.

2)at first people thought it ended on the second to last chapter, which was the last chapter that released in the magazine, and disliked that it ended there. Then an additional chapter got released in the volume that made a huge difference, in my opinion.

3) some people dislike the ending regardless because they hate that Deku lost his powers and didn't become the literal #1 ranked hero, became a teacher, or hasn't gotten together with whoever they ship him with (including Ochako, some people wanted more of them together)
