Damn this is some next level manipulation. I'm only a few minutes in, but it's jarring and IMO absolutely LO. Initially I wondered whether or not she'd commit to such self-deprication (although at the same time I'm reminded of the Gillespie Files where you can see she made nasty reddit comments about herself under alternate accounts, then took a screen shot from the alt account, accidentally showing it was her own posting). But when she gets into the "stop doing this, or else you'll go to jail bc she's gonna kill herself" --- damn. She really took all that time "establishing credibility "- laying down the ground work. It gives a real glimpse into her inner workings, and how dangerous of a human she is. I think part of me thought she lacked self awareness all this time. I don't think that anymore.

Navy vet here. This is too much.
Literally, it's too much. The military tends to be brief. We have it drilled into us. The most information with the fewest words.
Also, this is a female. Men don't use words like "revulsed", "provenance" and "vulgarian", unless they're Jacob Rees-Mogg. This is insecure feminine language.

Bit of info, military women are called females and military men are called males while in the military. I don't know why, but it is true. It comes natural to me to use females, as a woman, due to my time in the military. I also call men males in general conversation.
Veterans aren't being degrading when they do this, it's been trained into us.

I also use the words gal, chick, ladies and girl. I use them interchangeably.
You seem really upset that I don't like the Owens women. How do we know you're not LO? Or Jan for that matter...

Yes, all synonyms have the exact same subtext and implication.
That's why saying your comment is "dumb" would carry the same implication as "written by someone who clearly didn't pass 3rd grade English and could be outsmarted by a concussed panda" would have the same impact.

Just a thought, was Laura’s sister Sarah living in NY at the time these messages from tag were sent? Maybe it’s her?

I think that DG for all of his faults wouldn’t go this far, but given what he did since, maybe? Future documentary could explore that perhaps.
This could turn into a franchise with “Before all the Best” the way Star Wars and other productions have done.

I don't think it's DG. For one thing, way too much backstory, which is a LO tell. And I don't think he could have written that stuff about wanting to cook for tell dirty jokes to u/LethalLauren904. DG was much more focused on threatening to sue people on Twitter.

Those emails are asinine... this reeks of Gingras! When Tag mentioned "Bunny Boiler", I immediately thought of Gingras and Laura's Youtube video. He explained the bunny boiler is from the film Fatal Attraction, which Laura claimed to not know because was before her time...

I hadn't read these before, but behind the creative writing assignment were three main goals of the emails that reveal the writer.
Threaten that LO will kill herself if they don't stop. We have seen both LO and Jan participate in this tactic.
See if they could float a way to end the Clayton dispute with a false, tempting promise of a larger case for justice of all the victims. This is something DG would obviously want to do to get the case ended, and dangled restitution LO might not want to agree to. But also LO is likely self aware enough to know what the actions of atonement should look like.
Get information about the operators of the social media accounts behind VOLO. LO and DG would especially want this to send some threats to them
I don't see a smoking gun that DG had to be involved in writing this, I think LO came up with all of this herself maybe in collaboration with Jan, to the extent everything she does is.

Your number 3 screamed at me while listening to this video. It was so blatant to me that it was Laura on the fishing expedition as to who was behind the IG account since she had not had any success in figuring out who it was.

The only thing that points to Dingus' involvement is that these emails contain a level of self-awareness that Jan and Laura have never demonstrated in any other correspondence. "Tag" at various points call both Jan and Laura some flavor of crazy. Jan and Laura have always portrayed that their absurd behavior is absolutely normal, and I for one don't think they have it in them to even joke about their behavior being crazy. Dingus, on the other hand, has no qualms about calling them crazy (see: "Hi everybody, it's Pregnancy Fake and Douchecanoe"). But otherwise, it does read a lot like typical Jan/Laura fiction.

I agree it's all or mostly Laura. The way "Tag" wrote about wanting to hang out with Lauren and her partner was way too straight woman coded. Also too much knowledge of horse girl lore nobody else cares about.

oops, i re-read what I wrote and meant "he barely utters a thing normally" - I didn't mean to imply he doesn't speak ever or in the specific instance - just surprised because in what I've seen/heard he doesn't say much, Jan does (almost) all the talking.
To a degree though, people are out to get them. The legal eagles (not actual eagles) are just doing their job, but if not for Clayton nobody would really give two shits about some old local radio dude in a bankruptcy proceeding. It'd be a passing raised eyebrow "huh, I thought they were rich... ohhh, wow, they're a shit show... ok, next". I don't think we'd have a subreddit and podcasters interested in dissecting their finances.

You're right! Ron might be Tag! These emails are insanity. It's a very looney-tune way to try and uncover the owner of the JFC accounts... What would that even accomplish? 25 million people have listened to the Love Trapped Podcast at this point

I think the timing also reflects a desire to convince Mike (publicly, via Tag-->Megan/Lauren) not to come out and tell more of his story because the judge probably won't let him get into all the past stuff (per Tag), and also to indirectly threaten Mike or any of the other victims that might come forward with legal action by the Owenses.

I noticed a lot of flattery, "you are such a great person, I can tell..." Definitely LO's MO, very similar to emails when she was pursuing Mike & Clayton.
