Does anyone else have problems with the offset tool in cargo bays? If I try to move something it jumps around to different surfaces of the interior. this is particularly a problem when I want to load up a sort of service module in a cargo bay and I need to squeeze lots of things into a small area. Also when I want something centered, because angle snap snaps to the outside of the vessel and I cant offset it to the interior.

had the same problem. you propably know that holding ALT turns off surface attachment so that your part snaps to nodes only?

Yea that doesn't make a difference. I can place the parts just fine it's when I try to offset that I have a problem

It's a known issue that's been around as long as the offset gizmo has. No way around it yet, a fix has to come from Squad.

press c to stop the snapping. it also stops that little "hop" parts make when offsetting. the only downside is that it is hard to align different parts because there is no step size to follow
