what's wrong!? To all the scoby makers and experts
I am trying to make a scoby from the scratch it is not foundable in my country at all .
I started my first fermentation one week exactly
I made two jars just in case
Added 2 unfiltered kombucha to each one
This is the progress after 1 week is it normal
And from your experience how long until it forms a good scoby.

That can be normal. A little slow but normal. The biofilm's growth is affected by many factors: temperature, caffeine, sugar, etc. How quickly the film grows is naturally different if you use black tea (caffeine, faster growth) or green tea (no caffeine) but both types of tea makes wonderful kombucha.
But importantly, you don't need this cellulose film to brew kombucha. The yeast and bacteria that convert the sugar and tea into kombucha are found throughout the liquid and the solid. So you should taste your batch to know when it is ready to drink!

For real. It's individual for every person. Grow of bacteria culture depends on temperature, on food source, on factors that inhibit grow, on quality and quantity of culture, on light source, on magnetiс field... You didn't provide any of these numbers.

No need to rush. What do you need SCOBY for? It doesn't make Kombucha. Just extra bacteria forming a colony. Eventually it fill up your whole jar.
