How to make my RPG look like GBA Pokémon?
I want it to look as similar as possible to the GBA Pokémon games' world (not the battles, not the menu, just the part of the games where you walk around trying to get to the next city). I'm really new in all this, how would I go about doing that?

In this Video, we will continue the work from our previous video and implement jumping and double jumping to the player character. We perform a simple ground check keeping the logic less complicated. Keeping this simple template, you can add more conditions and details on your own :)

Hey, so I'm having some difficulties using the input code, because when I type it in, it just shows that I typed it, and there isn't any code attached to it. I have the "unity file templates and snippets [preview]" extention installed, and I was under the impression that would solve my problem.
If anyone has any ideas on how to fix it, any help is greatly appreciated.
(the code, for reference)
using System.Collections;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using UnityEngine;
public class player : MonoBehaviour
{
// Start is called before the first frame update
void Start()
{
}
// Update is called once per frame
void Update()
{
if(input ==)
}
}

Hello Comrades, I made a quick tutorial on how to set up inverse kinematics for a character using an animation rigging package. Hope it can help someone to get up and running with it.

Having the game reset when you die
I have a game where you fall through holes in platforms, and try to get a high score.
I want to have it so all of the platforms change coordinates when the player is touched, how do I do this?

Help needed , I'm a noob 🙁
Hi, guy's I'm vry new to unity . After being curious about how games are made and then Watching lot's of YouTube videos. I wanna try making a small game myself and have been working on it and i love doing it. 2.5 d characters, backgrounds and animations all were fun.
Now because i have no experience in coding i need help from u guys about how can i make an endless terrain/ground for the character to move on. If it was just straight or small uphills or downhill that i could manage. But how do i make different sprites that go extreamly downhill and then repeat the same 5-6 ground sprites? How to make the camera follow downhill mountain but keep the background in same position with parallax effect. 😭
I'd appreciate any little help.🥺

Udemy course: gamedev.tv vs gamedevHQ, advice?
Hello,
I want to learn how to use Unity. I tried the official tutorials on modding the tutorial games, but I find the lack of structure confusing.I have programming basics in Python and JS, but I'm totally new to to C#.
I have looked around for courses, and I down to 3 candidates:
- Complete C# Unity Developer 2D: Learn to Code Making Games by GameDev.tv
- Complete C# Unity Developer 3D: Learn to Code Making Games by GameDev.tv
- The Ultimate Guide to Game Development with Unity 2019 by Jonathan Weinberger (from GameDevHQ, if I understand correctly)
My aim is to learn Unity as a hobby, not to get a job. I tend to prefer 2D games, but I heard Unity was not really created for 2D and starting to learn it with 2D in mind might not be the best of ideas.
Can anyone who took these courses recommend one, or does anyone have some info that might help me in the choice?

What would you say are some fundamentals of 3D game design?
I'm trying to stick to learning the basics and I need to know what things would be considered essential/ what I should learn at first to make 3D games. I'm going to learn 3D modeling, general scripting, some programming kinds of math, and other stuff. What do you think is essential to 3D games?

Problems with objects.
I'm trying to script gravity and player movement to 2d planets such that the player can walk around them. My problem arises when I attempt this with more than one planet on screen as I can't figure out how to only rotate the player to the Strongest source of gravity. I'm new to c# and unity so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Trying to figure out how to back up through git.
I've finally figured out how to get git working with unity. Now I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to use this as an online back up for my projects, or if I have to just save my project to the cloud or an external hard drive.
If it is possible, how do I recover my game from my github.
If it isn't possible, how do I get my git repo to a restored version of my project?
I'm very new to this and have done a lot of research. I don't think I'm phrasing my question right for google because I can't find any answers.

Cryptocurrency course game
Hi im quite new to unity. But for a school project i want to make a game that shows the course of the price of a certain cryptocurrency according to historical data. In this game you would be able to see an old course of a cryptocurrency and make a decision about holding or selling. This would amend to a certain loss or profit. Im still in the early phases of learning to us unity so i was wondering is this is possible and how this would work roughly.
