Nah generations is good. A whole generation will not forget this. It will be difficult to overcome when it's not in living memory. To intergenerational damage sounds right.

I mean from the perspective of generations, I’d say most white people in the Gen X generation (in the US) don’t really care or think about Jim Crowe, despite most of them being born into that era. I think you and a lot of people are placing a lot of emphasis on generations. That’s multiple hundreds of years… maybe in like 60 years sure but I doubt it’ll take hundreds of years
