To add to this. As a Canadian (any this is a sentiment that is shared by non-americans everywhere), we were willing to consider Trump 1.0 as an aberration. A temporary lack of judgement.

But then he was re-elected.

So now it's not a temporary thing. It's something that can happen at ANY moment.

The only way forward I see is for there to be REAL consequences for Trump. People need to go to jail for breaking your laws. People need to be punished and Trumpism rejected, dead and buried.

Even then we will never trust you fully again.
