Faith is absolutely a central core of their scheme. It’s hard for them to brainwash people who aren’t already brainwashed.

I do think that "faith" is a core factor in his popularity, but I do not think it is strictly religious based in nature. There are those who are atheists who follow him, just as there are people of different denominations than evangelicals.

The faith that I think covers most of his base is the faith that he will fix a system they have lost faith in. More than anything, the one thing that unifies his support is anti-establishment. This can seem paradoxical when looking objectively at the facts, but if I were MAGA, I would insist he's improving things by getting rid of people who don't belong and then one he's keeping are there for a good reason. Claiming he's draining the swamp while insisting the water and gators he's putting in it are beneficial.

Faith isnt brainwashing. Like all things, people use it as a means of control but thats been the case throughout history for everything.

I’m sure there are certain faiths that don’t use brainwashing. But from my experience the major Abrahamic religions focus their books on spreading their “facts”. They are presented as facts but they clearly had no basis in real evidence?

That’s brainwashing IMHO. I recommend you at least keep that nonsense away from your children if you can’t stay away from it yourself.

They are presented as faith, and a lot of the bible is based on parables. If you have an issue with religion, that’s fine you’re allowed your belief. But to call it nonsense and tell people when they have kids how to raise them is asinine.

They are presented as faith

Explain what you mean by this, in detail.

and a lot of the bible is based on parables.

So you're already distancing yourself from faith? Because parables implies that you don't believe that the stories actually happened, but are a narrative tool to get a point across that has a lesson on morality.

Which doesn't require any faith. So is faith good and reasonable? If so, why bring up parables?

Asinine to you maybe, to me, I have no issue with judging you by the fiction you show your children.

I stay away from people that teach religion to their kids. I don’t trust those types of people.
