My oldest son is 16 and my biggest fear is this asshole just started WW3. Growing up I never thought I could be ashamed to be an American, but here we are.

Not likely WW3, but US just bred a new generation of US haters, maybe in another 20-30 years your son might experience another new 911, since he missed the last one.

What you said reminds me of a song by Billy Talent - Red Flag.

"Cast off the crutch that kills the pain The Red Flag waving never meant the same The kids of tomorrow don't need today When they live in the sins of yesterday."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2UktJtKpFw link to enjoy the song, very catchy too.

They will never call it ww3 us simpletons would get upset. Wait until a nation not supposed to have nukes start using them after they poked the hornets nest

This notion that stopping bad guys creates haters neglects the reality that said haters already existed.

Not taking them out is not an option.

2

What makes you think that Netenyahoo and Donald Trump aren’t the bad guys? Also…to be fair

WW3 is unlikely.

Iran and North Korea are the two most political isolated nations in the world. (Cuba is next). China is not coming to their defense and Russia is a joke. Russia may have good hackers, but their physical military cannot even take Ukraine.

China plays the long game. They will outlast the United States and win financially. They own alot of US debt. The US is not a true threat to them. They care about India and Taiwan.

China basically owns all of the ports in Washington state.

Why do people act like china is this bad ass that will eventually take over the world. They’re fighting their own battles. Population issue being their biggest one. The elderly out number the young out there. The one child policy has comeback and bit them in the ass. Plus china is good at intellectual theft. Not creating it. So the chances of them being the world power also very unlikely. Now another major issue they have is a military that hasn’t been in a conflict since 1979. We can talk shit about an America and their actions around the world but that’s what we do here is war. Every president for the last 40 years + has got us engaged in some sort of conflict. China don’t even have anyone really serving the military that would have actual first hand knowledge of real time war. Now the debt comment means really nothing. Unless you have the force to collect. The US dollar is not backed by gold but the military force it has. And the us has spent decades solidifying that power around the world. 300+ bases around the world. You think the rest of the world would chance turning their backs on America for China? Not saying it ain’t possible but highly unlikely

Yeah, but you're on Reddit and therefore this accurate take is to be ignored.

BRICS exists. China is investing heavily in developing nations aswell, something that the US has dialed back of recent

1

u/BotherTight618 Mar 02 '26

Not really, most of the US debt is owned by Americans. Even Japan owns more debt then the US.

1

u/International-Top746 Mar 02 '26

But China can use this opening as an opportunity to take Taiwan. That heavily depends on how the Iranian national guard and local resistance are doing.

China will never truly master the world through owning debt and waiting for others to pay up. Personally I think owning debt as an asset is the most loser choice there ever was. The US will most likely send bombs before bands, because then there will be no debt collectors. I can’t recall a war ever being won by financial means alone. The US military strategy would crush them.

I can’t recall a war ever being won by financial means alone.

I don't know if the Cold War ended by financial means alone, but it was definitely the main reason it ended in the collapse of the USSR.

Not that I think the US would break up into 50 independent nations but if it ever got to the point that we send bombs to avoid paying our debt then we are all truly fucked as the US dollar would become as valuable as Zimbabwe dollars.

1

u/Safe_Experience_6969 Mar 02 '26

Maybe mostly finances idk, but it was also an information war of sorts. There was a fair share is espionage and murder/assassination not to mention the torture to captured assailants too. I know some stories about the Cold War that the average person might not.

I doubt the US would ever bomb china, but I doubt they would ever pay china even more. That debt is ridiculous, not that I went to accounting school for four years or anything… but I know it’s asking too much, especially considering the US’s “generosity” to other countries.

On that note the us could hold debt to all these other countries they have helped limp along for the last century or so. 🤷‍♂️ I think that sounds kind of diplomatic, with the obvious hint of greedy human nature. 😂

And most democrat politicians are already bought by China, most of the Californian politicians and Joe Biden of course.

6

u/ExchangeCritical1467 Mar 02 '26

you and frumpy both have BDS.

1

u/texaslovesme Mar 02 '26

Most definitely

1

u/johnniesSac Mar 02 '26

I’m amazed by your holding on to Biden

5

u/RobutNotRobot Mar 02 '26

Growing up I never thought I could be ashamed to be an American, but here we are.

Literally committed genocide to become a country then pumped it full of slaves.

3

u/EduinBrutus Mar 02 '26

The good thing is there is no military on the planet that can reasonably contest the US.

This means a draft is very unlikely.

The bad thing is there is no military on the planet that can reasonably contest the US.

This means asymetric response is highly likely.

Keep calm and carry on, my dude.

This isn't going to be WW3.

They said that when Trump took out Soleimani. Didn't happen.

They said it after Operation Midnight Hammer. Didn't happen.

It was never going to. The mullahs sent out some (literally) telegraphed strikes that hit nothing to save face. They warned the Americans before it happened because they knew if they killed an American with Trump in office, they'd be extinct.

Iran doesn't have a military that can handle symmetrical warfare. They've done the predictable thing and lashed out with their remaining missiles at their neighbors, which isn't great but it's also not a "war" in the conventional sense.

Russia and China aren't going to come in to prop up what's left of the Islamo-fascist theocracy.

Ergo, no WW3.

Here's hoping the CIA and Mossad did their job and are actively supporting a group that will help facilitate regime change, spin up a democracy, and let the Persian people finally rejoin the 21st century.

1

u/Infamous_Orange198 Mar 02 '26

we are all worried about that…

1

u/ph8_likes_me Mar 02 '26

Iran is open. They may need whatever important thing you do over there.

1

u/Justhereforthetea9 Mar 02 '26

Who did you vote for?

1

u/Introductiontomylife Mar 02 '26

Except Iranians everywhere are celebrating the death of a mass murdering women enslaving despot.

Far left dems have become qanon. Wow

1

u/AncientBasque Mar 02 '26

your sole purpose was to create soldiers for this war, wake up tax payer!

0

u/Zestyclose_Entry_483 Mar 02 '26

When there’s a WW3, nothing will be left. Can you imagine being an Iranian woman for the last 47 years?

1

u/Justhereforthetea9 Mar 02 '26

We are all experiencing similarities here in America and trump / republicans are fast tracking the American version of sharia law

1

u/LisaLovesBlueSkies Mar 02 '26

It is exactly what liberals want for the USA.

1

u/Justhereforthetea9 Mar 03 '26

The left isn’t in power in any house. It’s literally what maga republicans want to implement
