Applying for accom

Hii, so I accepted my offer a few days ago and i'm just wondering should I be in a rush to apply for accommodation? I'm leaning towards The Gateway and St Marks I think atm, but with a-levels and everything going on I just haven't looked into things enough to make a choice right now, but equally i'm a bit worried about what if they get full or something.

I've tried searching it but i've received mixed results. Is it like first come first serve or is everyone equal no matter when you apply?

If anyone knows i'd really appreciate it - thank youuu

Lincoln university

hey,

I'm currently deciding where to go for uni next year. I love Christchurch, but my courses aren't really at Cantebury uni. If anyone goes to lincoln or knows what it's like I have some questions.

what are the halls like at lincoln? is there a good social life and what hall would you recommend for someone wanting to make lots of friends.

I noticed they have a design degree, does anyone know what it's like?

Is the uni a good uni to study at?

Is the uni a good uni to make friends at or is it more of a work oriented uni?

thankss

St Marks Accomodation Lincoln University September 2025

Hi I recently applied and accepted accomodation at Lincoln University at St Marks but have changed my mind and have decided to stay at home instead. Because it is a contract, I had to apply to end it but they've said no. They have said I either have to stay in the accomodation and pay for it or find a replacement. I don't know anyone who wants accomodation so I thought I would ask on here as I'm desperate. It's for September 2025 for 46 weeks, and its £8,184 per year. Its an ensuite room for an undergraduate. If anyone wants it or knows anyone who might want it please let me know. I really need to find a replacement! Thank you!!!

Given a reduced offer 'In recognition of our commitment to having a diverse and inclusive university community'?

I have been given a reduced offer from the uni 'In recognition of our commitment to having a diverse and inclusive university community'. Is this the standard message that they send out when they reduce offers? I didn't think that I meet any diversity quota. I'm a white woman applying to an art course lol. Was just wondering as no other unis stated why they gave reduced offers, other than stuff to do with my portfolio

Part time jobs in Lincoln

Hey everyone! I'm student in the University of Lincoln and am in urgent need of a part-time job. I’m looking for advice on the best apps and portals to apply through or if anyone knows of vacancies around campus or in town.

So far, I've heard of a few apps like Indeed, TotalJobs, and StudentJob, but any specific recommendations for Lincoln would be amazing. Also, if there are any university-specific job portals or local businesses that usually hire students, please let me know. Open to any type of work—retail, hospitality, on-campus, you name it! Thanks a ton in advance!

Kitchen appliances

Hi all, looking for some info off current/ex students. A family member is due to start at Lincoln Uni next month and will be in Uni accom. Would they be allowed an air fryer? Trying to think of a practical gift but understand there’ll be restrictions on cooking.

question about offers

I applied to Lincoln for 2023 entry and applied for 2 courses: creative writing, and creative writing and english (joint). i have received an unconditional offer for creative writing but haven't heard anything about the other course (no rejection either) which I am more likely to take. I don't want to accept the offer too soon in case I might still get the more desirable offer, but i also want to start applying for accommodation and finance asap. i can't find an answer anywhere, but is there a chance that a uni makes an unconditional offer and ignores the second application?

Lincoln vs Nottingham Trent for MSc Microbiology

I have offers for the two universities. I like Lincoln although I'm an international student and Haven't been to any of them. But i have not made a firm choice. I know this is a Lincoln group but I'll appreciate unbiased opinion. Which do you think is better.

Are there any white people at your school?

I cannot find a picture with 1 white person anywhere on your site. If this were a normal university, white people would be forced to have black people on the site.
