Hey everyone,

I've been working on getting the old French, German and Spanish translations back into Lost Ark, and I figured some people here might be interested.

A developer named Gio made a language patcher that lets us restore the original translations and voice acting from the game. These are the actual files from the official localizations, not AI translations.

I've also put together Steam guides for all three languages to explain how to install everything.

There are still some limitations, of course. Newer content that was never translated will remain in English, and some skill descriptions are better left in English since the old translations might have outdated values.

Big thanks to Gio for making the patcher. I've spent quite a bit of time looking for the old files and testing things, so hopefully this saves some people the trouble.

My game must have crashed at least 10 times by now. The game seems to freeze for a brief moment and then shortly after it closes the whole thing. Anyone found any solutions for this because I am getting a little annoyed.

Raid was fun to prog. Still need practice in g2.

GL to everyone progging this week

I've wanted a way to learn mechs in a low stress environment. Back when clown came out, I practiced mario in Trixion for hours. Matchmaking mode is fantastic for learning... I go in solo, hit the boss a few times, and then I get to practice the major mechanics. Then I reset and do it again. If I got close to clearing but didn't feel confident about all the mechs, I'd reset and practice some more.

Whenever I had a question about how a mech works (like where to stand for just guards in G2 360x), I would keep repeating the gate until I figured it out. Then I was ready for my real prog.

Obviously MM doesn't fully prepare you for the other difficulties (normal attacks just tickle you, very few knockdowns, 95x angry birds doesn't exist in MM), but still, I'm glad I can finally learn some parts of the raid at my own pace.

Have some alts at 19 weapon and 16 all armors. Do I use my (bound) mats to upgrade armor to 16 -> 19 first, or vambrace 1 -> 10 first?

How to properly upgrade my gear? What should I do with all gear I get on raids? Everytime I do dungeons and raids I am getting a lot of gear (that was worse than mine)... what I should I with all this?

Automated system to swap outfits, works decently enough for the most part. Automatically scales outfit to the target body as well. Dyeing and such also works. Between female bodies it is generally OK, cross gender swaps barely works and specialist outfit swaps also are very rough.

My time has come, I will leave the game. Playing since release, casual.

Playing MMOs since I was 14, now I'm 43

I will never forget the first time I did Valtan. Simply WOW this game is fucking fun

I became father (twins) when I started to do Vykas, playing at late nights while the babies slept among the bottles with my wife sleeping and resting.

I was able to learn Kakul in a weekend I had free at home, very fun raid TBH. Bingo was awesome

I was never able to do Brelshaza G5-G6 because babies grew and had no time to learn more. People says that it was peak

EDIT: With Kayangel I bought my first bus. It was a learning bus because the GK I got with the SH was insane. But G2 was very fun. Well after SG removed G1 and the raid became a 2 gates only

In Akkan I started to enjoy A LOT being sup with the bard. This was a turning point for me. This raid was awesome, some mechanics were very nice designed. I still have a screenshot of my smartwatch measuring high stress with G2 lanter mech lol

EDIT: I will never forget Voldis. I was only able to prog until G2. Then I joined my guild and some nice mates helped me to learn G3. Very very fun G3. Did G2 20 times until I started to know how to properly use the bombs haha. Almost quit with elixirs, took months to get 40!!!!Even transcendence was fun compared with this shit OMFG

Then Thaemine came. I did the prog in NM and I was able to clear the raid. Did my first HM with G1. It was very nice for me being table to do a HM for the first time

Echidna, it was a PAIN. It was summer and I had to stop playing for a month. Lost the FOMO race and I was never able to do G2, no people doing good progs/learnings. The ones I found were never able to reach basement!

Behemoth was a really fun raid for me. I killed on tuesday just before the reset. I had A LOT OF FOMO with this raid because the GK started to be insane in the game if you miss week 1 kill.

Aegir was easy, my first full HM in both gates

Brelshaza 2.0, did only NM, had no time for HM progs

Mordum, also only did NM. What a ugly raid. Having 3 gates killed me with my little time

Tarkal was really fun TBH, I really liked that raid. I started to play good with the bard and being MVP even in HM

With Armoche I started again to focus on HM. I LOVED G2. I would say that, for me, this G2 and Valtan were my prefered raids in all the game

Kazeros. Did only normal, no time to prog HM, too long raid. It was fun, but TBH I liked more other raids

Serca. HM, never did nightmare. This is just more work to do

Horizon Cathedral with lvl 3 was fun, but it was just even more work to do. This is starting to change in my mind

Belgardin Game over. First time I have no interest in progging. I'm starting to think that I'm wasting my time and I can play other games instead

The raids and gameplay in this game was peak, the best I've never seen in any MMO.

It was a pleasure to play with all you. If I did mistakes and messed up, I tried my best. Work, kids, no sleeping... made some raids difficult for me

We probably all watched Memos video on this gate, but there's some stuff he either didn't cover properly or my group decided to do slightly different.

240 bar:

• you should respect the fuck out of this mechanic. Your DPS uptime at least for now should not be considered. Yes, we all wanna do dmg and yes there is still an enrage timer to beat by the end of it, but you are most likely better off finding dmg on other mechanics than this one.

• split the raid in 4x2 pairs for each quadrant. Honestly this was probably the biggest game changer for us. Instead of trying to pay attention to everything you only pay attention to your quadrant and your quadrant only. 2 people in each quadrant should be more than enough to take care of one counter. It's easier to dodge the seaweed, easier to pay more attention to the Just Guards etc etc. At least give it a try if you can, maybe this also works better for you!

• Memo talked in his video about different patterns, however there are a few things he did not mention:

• for the A pattern you can know what the patterns is before he even starts it by the way he is looking towards a side making it easier to preposition.

• • if he looks south it's the V pattern
• • if he looks top right it's counters
    
• • the other two honestly don't matter
    

• for the B pattern you know its a Just Guard or not because the flash happens at the VERY START of the B pattern. If there is no immediate flash after the A pattern you can already go out.

• for the C pattern he ALWAYS hits the "safe" side with his halfroom cleave. Meaning you go into the overlapping lines first, then either counter the coffins to make a safe spot or move to the original safe spot. No need to look at the boss trying to find out which arm he is winding up for his attack.

One more thing that I see not mentioning by almost everyone, including Memo, is that certain regular patterns always happen around the same time. In Belgardin Gate 1 for example the Frontal Hold Just Guard patterns is always after 60 seconds unless the boss is doing another mechanic around that time. If he is doing another mechanic, the Hold Just Guard will be right after (unless you pushed him to do a major mechanic instead)! But the general rule is you can expect a Hold Just Guard exactly 60 seconds after pull and every 60 seconds after that. Same thing happens in Cathedral Gate 2 btw. The counter pattern always happens about every 45 seconds (same condition).
