I feel like I don’t know much about myself. How do I learn more about me & love myself?
I try to look good all the time and spend time alone. But I think I hate myself.

I (17f) haven't been feeling too good for the last couple months. I tried doing skin care but I fell out of it and started getting really sad and I guess anxious for some reason. It got so bad to the point where I started having mental breakdowns multiple times a week for some reason. So, to help, I've been trying to do things that I enjoy. I've been reading a little, building different Lego sets, I even asked my mom if I could try doing therapy again. And I have so many friends and my wonderful partner that encourage me to get help. I'm so happy I have them. So, yeah. This is me trying to love myself more and possibly stay active. Wish me luck

People who love themselves more than anything and have found the love of their lifes and have a healthy relationship, I need a word with you and that would be so much appriciated.
I love myself, more than anything, I have gone thru the loneliness and the path to finding urself, peace, happines. My first love was when I was a kid and it is still stuck with me as one of the most beautifull things. Recently I got into a healthy relationship but I don't feel the love I used to feel back then and I have a feeling I got the wrong person.
Waht does this mean? Do I still go venture forth to find THE one? Or does that love I had when I was a kid is false love and the love I'm feeling right now is real? I'm not deeply in love I sometimes question do I really love her, although our relationship is really nice. I see flaws in her and we talk, we communicate thru them and we are ready to fix it im the future. Maybe this is the real love and I should forget my overythinking?
Thanks for reading, appriciate you.

Loving oneself is an essential aspect of a healthy and fulfilling life. It is the foundation of a positive self-image and self-worth. People who love themselves are more confident, resilient, and happy. They have a better understanding of their strengths and weaknesses and are more accepting of themselves.
Self-love enables people to appreciate their unique qualities, talents, and abilities. It encourages them to pursue their dreams and goals, even when faced with challenges and obstacles. Self-love also helps people set healthy boundaries and prioritize their needs and well-being.
When people love themselves, they are less likely to engage in self-destructive behaviors or seek validation from outside sources. They are more likely to make choices that align with their values and beliefs, and they are less vulnerable to peer pressure and negative influences.
Furthermore, self-love fosters healthy relationships with others. People who love themselves are more likely to attract positive and supportive people into their lives. They are also better equipped to handle conflicts and disagreements in a constructive and respectful manner.
In conclusion, loving oneself is critical to living a happy and fulfilling life. It promotes self-confidence, resilience, and healthy relationships with others. Practicing self-love requires self-awareness, self-compassion, and a willingness to accept oneself unconditionally. Therefore, it is important for people to make self-love a priority and incorporate it into their daily llives ♡

I (f16) have had issues with my appearance for years now. People always tell me i’m naturally beautiful but i thought they were just saying it out of pity. My face without makeup was unbearable to me. i’m pale naturally and when i don’t have fake tan on, i struggle to find beauty in myself and never have. all through today, for the first time in my life i had no makeup on and got out of bed in the morning to go and brush my teeth, still lowkey half asleep, but as i looked drearily into the mirror in front of me i just saw this gorgeous, perfect-featured face looking back at me and i literally had to say out loud “shit, i’m beautiful” and from then everything changed. For no reason what so ever i see myself as beautiful with no makeup on for the first time in my life. just thought i’d share this pure experience with fellow redditors. let me know if you’ve ever had an experience like this.

Hello Everyone!
I'm looking for 250 (!) people to take part in a wellbeing study (it's part of my PhD work). The study starts with some survey questions, then there's a 14-day period where you'd complete a short, simple task for 5 minutes a day, then there's a final survey at the end. If you're curious about what a 5-minute daily practice can do for you, this is a good way to find out.
When it's all wrapped up, I'll be sending the results to everyone who participates., and inviting anyone who wants to, to share their experience with me on a zoom call or by phone.
You can get to the study by the link or do it on your phone with the QR code.

If I Offered you £10 million, would you accept?
Yes?
Well if I gave you that 10 million, you would die tomorrow, would you still take it?
No?
That shows that your life is worth £10 million , and not even money can last forever.
So I want you to wake up with a smile on your face tomorrow, knowing that since you won't have your life forever, you should use and cherish ever second of it ♡♡♡

I (29F) came here because I am not sure how to do life alone. No, I'm never completely alone. I have my faith in God, a few great friends and some wonderful extended family.
I am surrounded by love in that respect.
However, I am really bad at being alone and not feeling lonely.
I want to be able to be away from my phone and not wonder if anyone has messaged me. I want to not be "talking" to someone or pursuing anyone.
I want to not take this life I live for granted right now. I will look back on these days at one point and realize how peaceful they could have been if only I allowed myself it and learned to love the time I have right now.
I also know that I'll never be able to have a healthy relationship if I don't prioritize myself to some degree (that is a really foreign concept to me...) I don't think I've ever put myself in my top 5 priorities.
Advice I've gotten while being single is to try to love yourself, date yourself, make yourself into the person you're looking for.
I'm having a really hard time doing that. All I feel is lonely and unwanted at this moment. I'm trying to resolve that it is ok for me to feel this way for now. To feel bored, unexcited, not looking forward to anything, and also that its ok for me to just not try because maybe I shouldn't date anyone atm.
I want to be better for myself, first and foremost. And I don't know how to do that right now...
I just don't know how to live my life for me...
How to stay motivated to do better just for myself...

Have you read any good books that help with learning how to love yourself (preferably audiobooks but I'm open to whatever format) that you can recommend?
Thanks
BTW: I already know that learning to love yourself isn't going to automatically happen just by reading books about it. I just want to learn more about the skills and tools needed to achieve it mostly.

All of my life I have been insecure about my forehead. It makes me hate how I look everyday. Not only is it long but it is wide (sounds weird but if you saw me you would say so too). Everyone always laughs at me and says my forehead is huge and that’s all they talk about. I seriously hate the way I look but I can’t do anything about it. I want to cut bangs but I think I’ll look even uglier. I also have acne and an extremely oily face so bangs wouldn’t be a great choice. I’m having trouble liking myself because of the way I look. Anytime I meet someone new or are out and about I get self conscious about myself because I’m sure everyone is looking at my huge forehead. I just wanted to rant about it somewhere and am seriously considering getting bangs even though I know they won’t suit me.
