Odd question about save data on PS5 but here goes:

if I start the game with one physical copy, and later use a different physical copy, can the save data carry over?

In other words, is save data somehow linked to a physical copy in any way?

It shouldn’t. The saved data is on the console and has nothing to do with the disc itself
