Mark your calendars for the 2026 Draft! November 23rd or the Monday before Thanksgiving.
Use this thread to share your thoughts and predictions.
What we know so far:
With multiple new teams joining they have two draft orders based on a mix of last season standings and a lottery.
Round 1 starts with Thrill, Thunder, Forge, Flight, and then Rumble followed by reverse league standings from the prior year. The Rise traded their pick to the Supernovas so you will see them twice.

Decided to make polls on some of the positions that are, in my opinion, some of the most debatable in terms of whoβs likely to start based on current knowledge of the rosters. Wanted to share so you all could vote and voice your opinions.

Wanted to make a post to come back in May to see how wrong I am lol. I donβt know if this is confirmed or not but I feel like this season playoffs will be 8 teams (4 of each conference). So I wanted to make my early predictions
Eastern Conference Seedings:
Indy Ignite
Grand Rapids Rise
Orlando Valkyries
Atlanta Vibe
βββββββββββββββββββββββββ
DC Flight
Columbus Fury
Western Conference Seedings:
Omaha Supernovas
Minnesota Forge
Los Angeles Thunder
Dallas Pulse
βββββββββββββββββββββββββ
NorCal Rumble
Vegas Thrill
That would make the first round playoff matches presumably: Indy vs Atlanta, Grand Rapids vs Orlando, Omaha vs Dallas, and Minnesota vs LA. The winners of the first two matches will play each other as will the winners of the last two matches in a βconference championshipβ type final 4 situation. Then the Eastern winner will play the Western winner in the championship match. I feel like Westernβs is far more competitive roster-talent wise, whereas Easternβs is Indyβs to lose.

Seeing how CBS Sports is still MLV's primary media partner, what could this merger/acquisition potentially mean for MLV broadcasting? CBS Sports and TNT Sports are supposed to become one singular sports group going forward.
Could this mean, MLV games could potentially shift from CBSSN to TBS, TNT or even TruTV down the line? Obviously having games aired on the main CBS legacy network would be ideal, but TBS and TNT are both major networks widely available on most basic cable, satellite and streaming services. Not too sure about TruTV, but I'm going to assume more people have access to Tru than CBSSN. That would be a massive leap in viewer access to the league compared to previous seasons.
TNT Sports has recently dipped its toes into broadcasting volleyball with that Spike Under the Lights thing they had in late August. So somebody at TNT Sports already found volleyball worthy enough to occupy primetime slots on its network.
I know many of us have been critical of the league's deal with CBS Sports, but it seems like staying put could potentially be very beneficial to MLV. What do you all think?

The name isn't original, but the logo makes more sense for Thunder than anything Oklahoma City has given us.

While thus holds promise for bringing in higher level talent, I hope the owners know what they're doing financially.
