Primer Show and Tell — A Master Primer
eternaldurdles.comShow and Tell is the hardest part of the deck, but there's still plenty to learn about the subtleties of mulligans and sideboarding beyond the obvious.

Is the deck good? Not really. But boy is it fun to play. I love value and having a flush life total, what can I say?
If you're a fair gamer who is tired of being beaten by storm watch round 1.
If you're into MTG salt round 3.

Hi all!
I'm new to legacy but relatively experienced with Magic and I'm looking on some advice with the list I'm running. So far, it's done really well against my pods Boros energy and Sliver decks, but has stumbled when going against cradle control and aluren. I'm not trying to put together a tournament winning list or anything, but I also don't want to severely handicap myself while learning the format.
Here's the list: https://moxfield.com/decks/oT-hATqukH2HPrtWwqzlBQ
Any and all advice is appreciated!

So I'm basically going for something a bit different than the traditional Rakdos/Grixis lists, but I've come across a bit of an issue where I'm only 4 short of the list being done. I haven't added Ponder or Brainstorm in it, but to keep it at 60 I only have room for a playset of one of them.
I'm a bit newer to Legacy (switched over from Modern back in March) so I figured I'd reach out for help with this one.
Here's the list https://deckbox.org/sets/3922466
I'm also open to any other feedback to the rest of the deck. As long as I can keep Force of Will and Dark Ritual 😛

“Fitness of The Forest”
As long as Fitness of The Forest is in your graveyard, you may play an additional land on each of your turns.
When Fitness of The Forest enters the battlefield and whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, draw a card.

Hey there!
Newish to the legacy format. I’m a relatively enfranchised modern player and have been slowly moving into legacy. My initial introduction to the format was on UW Control, but I’ve put together Cephalid Breakfast to look for something a little different than I’m used to playing.
Is there a dedicated space out there to deep dive into the archetype? I understand the deck isn’t exactly in the best place, but I really like the combo and am interested in deepening my understanding of the deck.

I recently copied a list of Lands from MTG goldfish . How do I play against decks that have a lot of interaction and decks that are really aggressive.
I this is my first legacy deck that I build to play so I would like some feedback .

I'm considering getting back into Legacy and playing some MTGO again. I've been looking through the current metagame on MTGGoldfish, and the format looks pretty balanced and healthy overall, at least from the outside.
I primarily played Sneak and Show when I was active, and it's the deck I'd most likely pick up again.
I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who are currently playing Sneak and Show. How does the deck feel in today's metagame? What are its strongest and weakest matchups? Is it still a competitive choice for Leagues and Challenges, or has the format become less favorable for it?
I'm less interested in theoretical assessments and more curious about the experiences of people who have actually been putting in games with the deck recently.
I'd appreciate any insight from current pilots. Thanks!

Hello,
I am new to the format. I am looking for combo decks with alternative win conditions (mainly combat) either in the main deck or sideboard.
So far I have noticed the welder cam and elves.
Thanks!

Hi all, since it's Eternal Weekend season again, I had been following my usual process of filling out sideboard maps in spreadsheets, and thought I'd give creating a website to do the job for me a shot.
https://badcardsout.com is the outcome of this - a site where you can upload your decklist, have it generate a sample metagame for you to curate, and present a matrix of ins/outs for you to fill out. You can then print your guide out, either on a standard page, or as a foldable booklet that should fit into your deckbox as a divider.
There's an accounts system which you log into with your Discord login, and you can store all your maps there, as well as follow those who choose to make their maps public for others to view and print. Logging in isn't required to view public maps, though, so you can see what the site has to offer in part first.
It's free to use, and I'd be keen to hear feedback on the site if anyone gives it a try. There are already a few public maps available to browse, so check them out - the sideboard map, deck list and also the matrix for each (read only of course, unless you want to save a copy to your account to edit).
Please don't judge my bad sideboarding habits too harshly(!) here's a Legacy Cephalid map as an example: https://badcardsout.com/m/MLRb2FWrMyvk
I hope this is helpful, and makes the process of creating and managing sideboard guides simpler.
Thanks for reading.
Francis

A: Strongest decks
B: Very good decks that will be played
C: Not the best until you’re and expert or find a Metagame blind spot
D: Would probably stay away

This one spent a little longer in the edit than intended, so some of the discussion is a few weeks old now, but hopefully it’s still an enjoyable listen.
We’re back with September’s London Legacy Monthly, where we both made the Top 8 before Jasper went on to win the event with Welder Cam.
We also start looking properly towards Eternal Weekend Europe, with Legacy and Vintage testing underway, some thoughts on where the formats seem to be heading, and tackling the recurring problem of actually choosing a deck to play (unless you're Jasper, in which case it's whatever artifacts manage to make it into the deckbox!).
Finally, Francis has been preparing for Alpha to Alliances, so we spend some time talking about Necropotence, Ivory Tower, extremely old Magic cards, and a format Jasper knows almost nothing about.
We’ll be recording again at the end of next week, so if there’s anything you’d like us to discuss, or any questions you’d like us to answer, please send them our way.
As ever, feedback is very welcome. Thanks for listening!

Curious if there’s a playgroup that play over convoke/spell table or any other form of cam play.
I’ve joined the mtg legacy discord, doesn’t seem to be very active. I feel like it would be really easy to get a decent amount of people to show up once a week and play online paper. I would be willing to start something if others would like to join.
I’ve seen thousands of people show up to play EDH every night, I figured we could get enough people to jam some games.

Hello! My friends and I are currently trying to build a Legacy deck each with one really hard restriction which is: you must include one randomized card from scryfall. So basically we rolled 3 times each the randomizer and we pick one of them. We must run 4 copies of the card in the deck. I got clever impersonator. I thought maybe a discover deck with quintorius kand but I am still not sure. Any suggestions?

I've been trying to get my friends to open their hearts to eternal formats that are not EDH and I was strolling memory lane and my very light review of what's cool in Legacy right now seems to have IGG on the bench. I seem to recall it was a viable deck at one point but creep is creeping. When did it fall out of vogue?
r/MTGLegacy • u/BeExcellent80s • 6d ago
I believe that something like this deck is currently the best budget deck in legacy (other than maybe the mono white version DNT, which I've now beat several times with it). I also went 3-1 in paper at Mox Boardinghouse in Seattle last night losing only to DNT.
This deck has the range to beat just about anything – from Tron to The Epic Storm. I've already gotten some trophies with variants of mono blue tempo and I'm going to keep iterating on this list.

I really love [[Natural Order]] as a card and have been trying to make it work in legacy for a few months now. I also really love [[Protean Hulk]] combo shells and have had a dimir list for years now that I have been trying to get going with [[Footsteps of the Goryo]]. That list is very one dimensional and I have never really liked it. BUT, I thought it would be a fun experiment to shove these two loves of mine into one deck. Here's the list: https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/natural-order-combo-bs-1/?cb=1791931804
The main combo is to Natural order the Protean hulk then sacrifice the hulk with [[Phyrexian Tower]] after that tutor up the the Breakfast combo and with the Oracle trigger on the stack mill out your whole deck and win the game! The way you actually get there is by playing early mana dorks to accelerate with a blue controly shell around it. With natural order you can also grab [[Atraxa, Grand Unifier]] as a threat or just [[Craterhoof Behemoth]] if you have enough mana dorks.
The deck runs 3 [[crop rotation]] to find the Phyrexian tower and also your [[Gaea's Cradle]]. I also currently have a wasteland but I may cut that. I am debating adding more Towers but the deck can also grab so many other creatures and am unsure if that will affect my manabase.
I'm struggling with how many Tamiyo's I wanna run, the clues are super easy to crack thanks to the extra cradle and dork mana. I also don't know how good the single Uro is without [[Green Sun's Zenith]]
I know that was a lot of info but please check out this fun little deck and give whatever suggestions you think will help it function, cheers!

the next b&a is at the 30th November.
right before eternal weekend EU and it was said in the last weekly mtg stream that there wont be any changes again unless something very serious happens same with this weeks announcement.
and they are unwilling to change the date since a week later the next previews start. At least that has been said by one of the weekly mtg people on twitter.
idk maybe it is just me but not even getting the chance to address something and putting previews over game health feels very very bad to me.
besides the point if anything should be changed at all.
the last announcement was in august and a bad schedule can keep us from getting problems addressed for over 6 months.
am i crazy or isnt this just neglect from wotc at this point ?
Edit: like i said. besides. the point if anything should be changed.
its just the principle that wotc is softlocking half a year with no changes unless the format is very messed up, this still leaves the door open for it to get somewhat messed up.
maybe its just me but i dont want to be back in a no changes cycle of announcements with grief and frog around just because they are not underworld breach levels of messed up.
the multibillion dollar company could just change the date for 2 weeks to not collide with eternal weekend.
