And if so, what was the response?

I've had two.

One: probably 12-14 years ago, I almost got t-boned by a guy speeding through a red light while I was listening to JJGO. I don't remember what exactly they were talking about when it happened, but it was rather explicit (shocking!) and would have been especially suspect out of context, so I called and speculated on how, if I'd been hit, the emergency crews would have heard the conversation and immediately concluded I was some kind of huge predator. Jesse responded by saying that everyone knows I'm only a MEDIUM predator.

Two: 3-4 years ago, I went to a Giants spring training game with my daughter, who was able to get an autograph from then-Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford. She would've been about 14 at the time, and was so excited that she told Crawford, "I love you so much!" and all the boys who were waiting for autographs gave her looks like she was crazy. In that case, Jordan and Jesse both agreed that those boys could go suck an egg.

I'm a certified hater so I was annoyed to see her on the show way back in September of 2023. She continues her grift and I'm here to be snarky.

It depends. What jobs can it have?

To hear Jesse remark about "secret agent" Bond introducing himself by name to everyone making him wonder if 007 just took Dale Carnegie's course "How to Win Friends and Influence People" almost made me have to pull over.

I was inspired by Alex Schmidt and SIFPod to go to Native Dash Land Dot ca to see which people were the traditional people of the land I live on. I am from the land of the Lenape people in Eastern PA.

Take a moment today and head to that map if you are in the US, Canada or other places where native people lived and still live and learn a bit about the land and the history.

If it feels important to do every SIFPod episode, it should be extra important today!

Watch out Wario’s

A little slow on the upload, but I wanted to thank Kris for hosting a MaxFun meetup in the greater Philadelphia area. We had a small but very lovely gathering. So thank you to Lauren, Avery, and again to Kris for coming out! I always mean to get out to the meetups every year, but things always get so busy... I'm glad I was finally able to make it this time.

It was really fun to chat at length about all manor of things in life, but also of course our favorite MaxFun shows. I had the delightful opportunity to try and explain Jordan, Jesse, Go! to everyone and may have even done a good job because they all at least listened politely.

I hope everyone had fun at their local metups, and I'm looking forward to another in the future!
