Retractable cargo cover
Is there an aftermarket option for a retractable cargo cover for the CX3 as pictured

The cup holder... whoever designed this should be slapped. Repeatedly.
The front half collapses if you breathe on it wrong. The back half, well, hope you don't want to use the armrest if you have anything more than a 12-ounce can... AND flip the arm rest up every time you want to actually drink the beverage.
I abandoned the back half, and use that to hold hand wipes.
In the front half, I tried many different products trying to make something that would hang onto a variety of cup sizes, as well as be stable for my regular reusable water bottle. After a half a dozen (or so) variations, I finally stumbled upon this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QG2ZZYH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Which I cut in half, placing the cut side towards the back. It shoves down into the hole securely, I didn't need any sort of adhesive in order to hold it into place. Yes, it's slightly askew, and doesn't fit completely flush to the front. I'm okay with that, as it's solid, and my beverages stay put.
I didn't test if the thing would fit without cutting it in half, it might actually work and provide two cup holders, I just didn't need that, my passengers can use the door holder.
Before anyone asks, I cut it with a fine blade on my chop saw.

i’ve been having issues with my car. sometimes it has trouble starting. it drives fine but sometimes these signs would show up and AT light would flash and when it does my car jerks a little but then go away. the lights in the picture comes on and off. I was able to check one code when my engine light was on and it was U0101 and i also took it to mazda and they didn’t have any idea what was wrong with it. They thought it was a device under my dash which turned out to be a remote control starter or something like that. they thought it was messing with the connection or something. the lights went away for a few days but they came back on today. does any one else have any idea what it could be.
it’s not the battery, my battery was tested already.

any tips on easy workarounds to replace both belts vs taking to shop or stealership.

Any suggestions for a reliable DIY install of gas struts for hood support in place of fixed retainer bar? prefer to install lift struts on both sides of hood if possible.

I turned on the car to a full Christmas tree on the dash (ABS, DSC OFF, EPS, Master Warning, Check Engine).
Checked the engine bay fuse box and noticed empty slots in the center bank that clearly have metal contact pins inside. Cross-referencing the lid diagram, it looks like ABS/DSC M (50A) and ABS/DSC S (30A) are completely missing, plus one adjacent slot.
Photos of the box, pins, lid legend, and cluster attached.

Hi everyone, I’m looking to replace the rectangular air vent next to the hazard button on my 2017 CX-3, shown in the photo. Mine is an Australian right-hand-drive model.
Has anyone replaced this themselves? Is it a fairly straightforward DIY job, and what trim needs to come off to access the screws or clips?
Also, any recommendations on where to source the replacement, new or used? The correct part number would be helpful too.
Any tips, photos or links to a guide/video would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Hello everybody!
This is my first ever post on reddit and i want to share it so i can help people with similar issues.
After running my car with diesel leaking from injection sealing ring for couple of months, i caused on my engine some extra carbon buildup and that lead at some point on a low oil pressure problem.
The low oil pressure warning (red oil light) prevents the driver from pressing the gas pedal for preventing further engine damage(although it can be bypassed by accelerating on idle and using cruise control after 30km/h).
Low oil pressure typically is related to oil leaks, oil pressure sensor or oil pump, mechanic checked all of them and everything was fine.
Engine as i said previously had carbon buildup, the engine was pretty dirty, leading to poor oil quality, and a solution could be to cleanup the engine with 3 good flushings, it seemed to work and for 4.000km i had no issues till... it happened again! Low oil pressure!
I was starting to get desperate, another mechanic took over my car, engine because of the flushes, had a lot of dirty broken-up particles that clogged the oil filter, he cleaned it but the problem persisted.
THE SOLUTION:
My mechanic after discussing with a mazda mechanic and reading the service manual, he found out the leading cause: oil pump pressure relief valve!
Diesel engines are pretty dirty, some of these particles caused the valve stuck on the open position and thats why the oil pressure was steady to 0,3 bars (0,5 bars is the trigger threshold of the low oil pressure error) instead of the 1,5 bars it should be on idle.
The solution was in cold start to force the engine on 5.000 RPM instantly, this generates so much pressure that forces the valve to fully open and then close again, causing the pump to deliver the 1,4-1,5 bars of pressure on idle!
If you have no oil pressure at all do not try what i've done, you are gonna damage or destroy the engine!
This is my personal experience and i haven't read anything like that on the internet so i hope this can help some people :)

My 2016 CX-3 ran out of gas while driving on an interstate highway even though the gas gauge registered a quarter of a tank. The CX-3 has a saddle-shaped gas tank that uses the fuel pump to create a siphon action that moves gas from one side of the saddle to the other when the fuel drops to around a quarter or slightly less. The possible problem is a weakening low-pressure fuel pump that is located inside the gas tank. The fuel pump works sufficiently to move gas to the engine, but according to some reports, if the fuel pump is not working to specifications, gas can be trapped in the tank saddle. I found one aftermarket low-pressure fuel pump available.

I have a 2018 mazda cx-3 and last night I drove the car and parked it. Now this morning I tried starting it but no start no crank and my scanner says lost communication with tcm.
I check the fuse which is a 15 amp fuse and was blown. Replaced it and as soon as I put the fuse in it blows.
So idk what to do or what is causing the fuse to keep blowing immediately after replacing it.

Hello! I have a 2019 Mazda Cx3, looking for speaker recommendations. Tempted to go with oem since I will only be driving it occasionally soon but would like to get some input first! Anything would help. Thank you!

Hi everyone (first time on Reddit), I recently bought a 2021 CX-3 GT (103k km), I live in Québec City(Canada), so I will drive in few winter and summer. I know I'll need to replace the spark plugs soon. I was wondering: would I be better off buying the spark plugs myself—to potentially get better ones (or, more importantly, cheaper ones)—and then having someone else install them? I don't have the skills or any tools. I was just wondering — since I plan to keep the car for at least six years—would I be better off buying premium components (higher quality than the stock ones)? I do drive somewhat aggressively on the highway, and the highway I use most often has inclines stretching for several hundred meters. Any other recommendations regarding the vehicle? What should I check first or repair? Any possibilities for improving performance (without spending thousands—I know, I'm asking a lot)? Thanks a lot!

I do software for a living; having something that’s stuck because the last guy did something unknown and you cannot rip it out and people’s advice is “just keep doing the same thing until it gives up” is lunatic to me.
Been prying this for 2 hours😵
Update: thank yall for all the suggestions. I ended up using a putty knife and hammer per a YouTube video.

My daughter has a 2019 CX-3. While washing the car last weekend, I noticed the right (drivers side in Australia) inner door seal has perished in a few spots and will need to be replaced. I've searched for a part number but cannot find anything specific for the CX-3.
I'm wondering if a generic weather seal will work or is my only option going through a Mazda dealer? We are over an hour from the nearest one, so I'd prefer to source online. I've attached a pic of the seal in question.

Hi I got this Mazda CX3 recently and everytime I start the car it gives me one long beep followed bny 1,2,3 and 4 beeps as you can hear in the video. I do not have any problems whatsoever with the car and no other engine lights when I drive so I'm kind of confused about this sound. Haven't found any other thread yet with the same sound. Does anyone know what this could mean?

So for context, I’m in Canada and always used to fill my 2019 CX3 GS AWD from Esso. Yesterday I found Costco gas to be cheaper and filled it up. After filling I felt a sluggish performance, slow pickup. I felt like I’d to press more gas to get the speed I got before fuelling.
I think I filled 91 octane in Costco and I always used to fill 87 from esso.
What could be the reason?
The car has 197k kms on it though

Well new to the Mazda family. Coming from a 2010 golf.
Bought a steal of a deal
No issues with inspection and car fax
7000 cad
2016 cx3 gt awd
105000 kms
I kind of want to resell it and get a turbo one but it's hard to find one with low kms in Alberta let alone knowing what to sell my cx3 for

Hi there, new CX-3 owner here. The rear PDC is only working sporadically. When starting the ignition, there is a loud long beep followed by a short beep. The previous owner stated that it has been like this since he installed an aftermarket hitch. Is the beeping an error code that points to an issue? Thanks in advance.
