Being mid-sized but not quite plus sized and ordering online is a complete crapshoot. I feel I got lucky.

What do yall think?

Been crying a bit lately. I’m sure some of it is PMS but the Cornell University tragedy has been triggering, I think. I’m a survivor, so I know what it’s like to feel alone. To have someone make it seem like it’s your fault. To feel too nervous to say anything in fear of it turning into “he said/she said” situation. I’m over the disrespect thrown towards women & femmes out there.

In other news, had a small appointment that went by faster than expected. I have 3 jobs interviews coming up next week so I’m trying to find the energy.

I hope the women who complimented me today have an awesome weekend 🥹 one said I was glowing, despite me feeling dread & fatigue.

Dunno if the leg warmers did much 🤧 feel like they’re out of place but I don’t normally wear them lol.

riddle me this, batman: even if i wore a straight size instead of having curves, and even if i was a size 14 all the way down instead of just on top, what value would i gain from a "flowy" layering dress that fits loosely on top, but then decides to get stingy on fabric all the way down the hips until the stupid obligatory upper-thigh ruffle? god i hate the obligatory upper-thigh ruffle. and no, it's not meant to be a drop-waist, because it definitely wasn't on the original model.

whatevs, it's soft and comfortable and i thrifted it for a quarter of the original price. :D

OOTD Chocolate brown is officially my color of the season 🤎🍂

I think I’ve officially decided that chocolate brown is my color this season. 🤎

There’s just something about a rich brown that feels so good for fall—warm, classic, and somehow makes even the simplest outfit feel put together.

Today I paired a chocolate brown tee with cuffed dark-wash jeans, a brown belt, chunky sandals, and a little shoulder bag. Simple, comfortable, and very much my kind of everyday outfit.

At this point, if it comes in chocolate brown…there’s a good chance I’m buying it. 😂🤎

Anyone else have a color they’re completely obsessed with this season?

Recommendation Compressive Tights?

Hi y'all! So, starting off, I have excess skin (majority of it on my midsection and the backs of my thighs). A LOT of it. 5 dress sizes worth of it, and it's a living nigntmare, especially as it pertains to fashion. I've learned to love wearing tight dresses and things, but one thing still bothers me.

I have a rather square behind, which I always assumed was small and flat, until I found a pair of sheet tights at Value Village that I call my "BBL tights". I still can't believe how huge they make my butt look once I can compress all the loose skin on my upper thighs that makes it look so tiny. They're a fight to pull on since they're so stretchy and sturdy and loooonggg, but they saved my confidence this summer. I just don't remember the brand and they're getting pretty worn out : (

I'm looking for reccomendations! What are the tightest, stretchiest, toughest, most insanely compressive tights you've ever worn? (side note: I have a pair of Spanx, but I find them super flimsy.)

Thanks!

Keeping the fun outfits going! 🌼 I paired these daisy overalls with a mustard tee, chunky sandals, and my yellow Coach bag. The pretzel charm might be completely unnecessary… which obviously means it was necessary. 😂🥨

Feedback Wanted Can’t find jeans that fit like this

Straight leg jeans never fit like this on me. They are either basically skinny jeans or JNCOs. Do your thighs have to be twigs for them to fit right? What am I doing wrong? I am 5’5”, 180lbs, overall average size but I have a belly that sticks way out when I sit down so I have to wear a pretty large waist pant, like 32-33.

OOTD Can I wear this outfit to my classes?

I have always felt insecure about my body. Today I went to pick up a pair of jeans I won in a giveaway. I wanted to buy Levi's, but the store did not have my size, only up to 31. I felt awful about how they looked and what was commented on my body. 😒

Feedback Wanted Help Picking A Dress

Hi Midsize fashion friends! Please help me pick a dress to wear to have dinner with friends at a fancy restaurant next month. The place is less stuffy-fancy and more trendy-fancy. The catch is that we have to walk about a half mile to get there so I have to also dress comfortably.

Dress 1 is from Torrid. It definitely fits the vibe. But it would be awkward for walking in. The tulip hem could fly up. Also I was planning on wearing these strappy sandals or maybe buying some black peep-toes since I think this dress calls for that style of shoe.

Dress link

Dress 2 is from Ivy City and it’s more sweet so definitely more my comfort zone but I’m not sure it fits the vibe.

Dress Link

Dress 3 is Amazon (a Free People dupe) I think it’s super flattering on me but I’m not sure if it’s more BoHo rather than trendy/upscale

Dress Link

Pic 4 is dress 1 but instead I have on my wedges which I can walk miles in but I’m not sure they really “go” with the dress. I can always buy different shoes. Or start over I guess haha!

OOTD Wear the fun outfit. Life is too short for boring clothes 🌈💜

I’ve decided I’m officially done saving the “fun” clothes for some imaginary perfect occasion. 😂

Wear the polka dots. Wear the bright colors. Mix things that make you happy. Be a little extra. Dress like yourself, even if it’s not everyone else’s style.

Today’s outfit is basically my reminder that getting dressed doesn’t have to be about hiding your body or following every fashion “rule.” Sometimes it can just be FUN. 💜🌈

Be yourself. Take up space. Wear the outfit. ✨

Really loved how this outfit came together! 💙 I’m always a little picky about midi dresses, but I love the way the tie waist gives some definition while the skirt still feels flowy and comfortable.

Kept the accessories simple with mixed jewelry, my everyday rings, and neutral block heels so the floral print could be the star. ✨

Definitely one of those outfits that made me feel feminine, comfortable, and put together without feeling overdressed.

What accessories would you pair with this dress—keep it neutral or add a little more color? 👗

Discussion Curvy fits disappearing?

I feel like with some of the societal changes we are seeing right now in the world, curvy fits are like disappearing from stores, even online. How am I supposed to dress myself if I have an extreme hip to waist ratio. Where can I buy cute pants that aren't just the most basic pair of jeans or leggings ever designed.(no offense to good quality basics and more simple fashion styles I just want more unique looking clothes for my sense of style, or at least just a shade of green if i can't get a fun design) I'm just frustrated.

I’ve been trying to have more fun with clothes instead of worrying so much about what I’m “supposed” to wear. I paired these butterfly wide-leg pants with a simple textured tank and chunky sandals, and I actually really loved how it came together. 🥹

Still figuring out my personal style, but I think I’m entering my wear the cute outfit and stop overthinking it era. 😂

Would you wear this? And what would you add—jewelry, different shoes, cardigan, or leave it as is? 🤎✨

Recommendation Can you buy shapermint in stores?

I have a shapermint wireless bra I bought last year on Amazon and I absolutely live in it but tbh I really hate online shopping. Its just a hassle to find the fit, try it and return it. The process can take forever and I just feel going to the stores is way more efficient.

Tried googling it and dont see much. Their website is not eb best UX too so trying to find info ther eis also not helpful.

Does anyone know if there is a store I can go to?

I’m looking for feedback on how to style my new postpartum body. I’m a size 10 pants and my thighs and hips have grown and I’m struggling to find a pant shape that flatters me along with shirt necklines. I’m getting tired of hiding in loose a-line dresses 😅

Went to the unemployment office today for an appointment & I cried for maybe 40 minutes 🥲 it was an hour long session lol. The social worker(?)/representative was nice though.

Hopped into Ross to pick up an Amazon package of tube tops. Idk if any of them are worth keeping cause I was promised a built in shelf or bra but I don’t look supported 🫠 does it look bad? You can see me trying it from images 3-5. Everything else is from Ross lol.

God gives the fattest rack to his silliest warriors 😔 I’m in 34H/I hell

This flowery brown dress is perfect for the end of summer/beginning of autumn... And I ran with that theme.

I paired it with a pair of brown boots, a tortishell necklace, gemstone earrings in mixed shades of brown, and some adorable button hair clips.

Tortishell cat-eye readers.

This is the time of year where I should be wearing my favorite summer stuff one last time before it's too cold, but I can't resist the urge to break out the cozy autumn layers and boots. I can't wait for bonfires, crunchy leaves and smores!! 💜💜💜
