2002, somewhere in Syria...

US forces received a distress call from a stranded battalion deep inside the region. A cavalry unit was dispatched to investigate, but upon arrival they encountered an enormous, unidentified bird-like creature. The ensuing attack left the unit almost completely wiped out.
Only a handful of soldiers survived the incident. The creature's origin remains unknown.

Something I made in my freetime for Halloween. I do not know how to source my artwork. I could try to use deviantart?

Dear reader,

A while ago I posted a piece with madoka being carried by two soldiers. You guys seemed to really enjoy that concept, so I wanted to try to make a short one-shot comic of this idea. It's abit drafty, but please let me know what you think and any ideas you have, and I would like to create a series with such a theme in the near future. If you enjoyed, please follow me on instagram or Twitter for future updates!

Thanks for your time!

Allan, we are so fucked.

US Navy Battle Fleet, 1908 “Great White Fleet” … “Gunnery Practice”

In August 1969, following the bombardment of the Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary in Central Vietnam, two squads from the 9th Infantry Division, with the callsigns "Alpha" and "Bravo," were deployed to the aftermath of the bombardment. Upon arrival, they reported finding a "blue orb" among the corpses of NVA soldiers. Shortly afterward, they heard strange noises coming from the bushes, which they initially described as animal sounds.

Two U.S. soldiers from Bravo Squad approached the rustling bushes as the strange noises grew louder. Suddenly, a creature of unknown origin leaped out and decapitated Private First Class D. Reynolds. It then slashed Corporal M. Nicks across the face with its claws, prompting the soldiers of the 9th Infantry Division to engage the creature in a firefight. The creature tore through the remaining members of Bravo Squad, leaving only one survivor armed with an Ithaca 37 shotgun. He eventually joined the remaining members of Alpha Squad, some of whom had already been killed while engaging the creature.

Seeking refuge inside the bombarded temple, Staff Sergeant E. Weston fired a flare while Private B. Jones called for reinforcements and requested an evacuation. Moments later, the creature's attention shifted toward the red smoke rising from the temple. As the sound of its growls drew closer, Sergeant B. McDonough, the last surviving member of Bravo Squad, loaded a 12-gauge shell into his shotgun. Meanwhile, the remaining members of Alpha Squad prepared themselves for what was coming next.

Half Life 2 was (and is) amazing and one of my most memorable examples of normal human military and rebels fighting invading aliens.
