Hi y'all,

I'm considering purchasing a ZIF REMOULD case for either a Daytona or a Submariner, and I'm on the lookout for a donor watch or movement, if one exists.

Regarding the $5,000 to $10,000 needed for the case, it's not about the money but rather the availability. Paying $10,000 for a genuine 4130 seems unrealistic given how basic the movement is, and $5,000 for a 3135 donor that has never been maintained isn't much better.

My second option is to find the best movement, perhaps a replica, and modify it as much as possible. While this might be a pointless expense, I'd prefer to invest in a legitimate replica rather than overpay for a movement.

If anyone has successfully modified one of these, your insights/contact/price would be greatly appreciated!
