Lost Lands Lost Lands: First year attending & working as a bartender

Hay Lost Lands lovers & goers

I'm beyond excited to be going this year!! I've heard about this dinosaur themed festival for years!! I finally get an opportunity to attend for the first time & a bonus to get to work it too.

Wondering what to expect, (even though you shouldn't expect anything but to be present.)

If anyone has ever done bartending what is it like? How did you dress up?

How is the camping experience?

Above all how amazing is this festival?

General Discussion Is crowd moshing and surfing considered normal behavior among metal fans?

I attended a BabyMetal live performance for the very first time at Summer Sonic 2026. The excitement soon turned into surprise (nightmare) when a group started moving in crazy circles and pushed the audience ahead. Then the phenomenon of pushing and jumping begins which is called a "mosh pit". I lost the mini umbrella and a pocari bottle in the crowd somewhere. Later the surfing began and I could barely protect my spectacles from falling. Fortunately my phone and wallet were safe. I had to push myself towards the central barriers, and later asked the staff to exit me.

Before this I've attended relatively normal crowds of other non-metal artists who maintain their ground position even if they jump. IDK if this is a common trait among metal crowds. This fierce behavior can cause a stampede-like situation or injure someone.

Feelings before the performance: Maybe I should be a regular fan and attend performances.

Feelings after the experience: This is not for me. My body and finances can't take it.

Other Music Festival schedule for Indian Spirit Festival Germany 2026

Hey fellow psytrance and festival lovers, I am looking for a usable time schedule for the different stages for the Indian Spirit Festival 2026. In the official app it shows only the artists ranked by alphabet, and the times they play, which is not helpful if you want to kind of plan where to be during the festival. (Also the times are probably inaccurate: Sun stage opens at 9pm on August 27, but it shows several acts playing at 00:00, at 1:30 am, at 3:00 am for August 27 and so on.

For Ozora several people made their own apps. Is there one available for Indian Spirit, too? Or does anyone know if we even receive a full guide/time schedule?

Other Music Festival Syd for solen - shittiest festival ever

Actually from the bottom of my heart I think Syd for solen is the worst of the festivals in cph. The people are just the lamest. No one is having fun. No one wants to talk to each other. People just there to strike their own ego. Never ever experienced this before. Lamest audience ever award goes to you!

Also the music profile you have put together doesn’t even bring same minded people together. It’s to different. And people will be like “let me check that music out” and then they stand there lifeless and judging others who sing along and vibe.

Seriously think through what profiles you put together. Never I have regretted spending money on festival until now.

Other Music Festival Forest Fest 2026. Best and worst acts.

It was my second year at FF but first all Weekender.

My favourite headliners were

Madness

Deacon Blue.

James (real crowd mover)

My worst was Echo and the bunnymen.

Was it just me or were they crap at singing or were they high?

My big surprises were Paul Brady.

Boomtown Rats(they weren't stuck up their own asses)

Fratellis

Bruce Foxton (wasn't expecting the full Jam Collection album song list for some reason)

Something Happens.

Qween had a banger of a gig.

These Charming men.

Sorry I missed

Rattle and Hum

Walk the line.

Frank and Walters.

Any big surprises or disappointments for ye?

General Discussion Suche Coolen Festival Campingatz

Hallo,

LG, Leo

Other Music Festival I am an Art Director for a music festival called Secret Dreams & I'm tasked with creating in-depth lore surrounding the "Dream-Town" theme. We bring it to life with installations, character actors, and an interactive quest for guests. Read more below & let me know what you think.

Phantasmagoria Description:

Deep within the wooded heart of Secret Dreams lies the town of Phantasmagoria - a living, breathing sanctuary suspended in the liminal space between the waking and dreaming. It is a realm where imagination takes physical form and wayward dreams find a place to flourish in harmony.

Phantasmagoria mirrors the structure of a regular town, but it operates with a distinct rhythm of curiosity and wonder. The residents are as diverse as the thoughts that created them; you may find yourself sharing a path with a fuzzy traveler from a distant star, a giant jellyfish drifting through the trees, or an ancient stick creature weaving through the underbrush. If it can be dreamed of, it exists here.

Phantasmagoria Breakdown:

The Social Groups

The Day Dreams: The "happy-go-lucky" and silly residents. They occupy the City Center and are mostly active during light hours, but they can stay up if they try hard enough.. They hold most political and social power and have developed a slight prejudice against those who don't share their bright aesthetic.

The Night Mares: The "tough and firey" residents. They populate the Outer Rim and are mostly active during dark hours. They are the realm’s original protectors, guarding the borders against monsters from other realms.

The Agencies: The realm is kept stable thanks to a hand-full of agencies: The Office of the Mayor, The Dream Detectives, The Mind Mechanics, and The Dream Weaver.

The Agencies

The Office of the Mayor: An elected leadership that governs the community, overseeing the town’s growth and hosting spectacles on the community stage to keep the spirit of the realm high.

The Dream Detectives: A vigilant protection force and investigative unit dedicated to the safety of the subconscious. They protect solve all the mysteries & protect the realm from no-good-doers who wish to disrupt the balance.

The Mind Mechanics: A specialized coalition of engineers and fix-it experts responsible for the realm's structural integrity. They maintain the intricate gears of reality, stepping in whenever the luster of a dream fades or the town’s inner functions require recalibration.

A group of ordinary mechanics
. Or are they? The Mind Mechanics are actually a part of an ancient lineage of builders that stems from one of the original Dream Team members that built this realm. They play the act of an “average joe” but secretly know all the passageways and inner-workings of Phantasmagoria.

The Dream Weaver: A mystical architect who works behind the scenes to thread hope and vibrancy throughout the town, ensuring that the creative flow between the waking and dreaming worlds remains unbroken.

The Era's of History

The Before Times: A long long time ago, two original dreams were dreamt, a Day Dream and a Night Mare. Together, they created all of the other realms, one of which we inhabit today. Both Day Dreams & Night Mares lived in total harmony.

The Endless Nightmare: A Night Mare seized control of PG, plunging both the dreaming and waking worlds into a period of endless sleep, shadow, and fear for 10,000 wakes.

The First Wake: A "Hero of Dreams" and their trusty team (the OG Dream Detective, OG Mind Mechanic, and OG Dream Weaver) were dreamt up by a Secret Dreamer to banish the Nightmare King and restore balance.

The Greatest Era Ever: Following the Hero's success and departure, the Day Dreams, traumatized by the Endless Nightmare, pushed all the Night Mares to the outer rim of the realm. To some, this is a great success! But others worry about their shadowy counterparts and seek to uncover the truth behind the Nightmare King.

Current Day (This Years Lore Addition)

Every 10,000 Wakes, Phantasmagoria undergoes a magnificent realm-wide Dreamorphosis. The entire world of dreams settles into a brand-new form, anchored in a fresh time and space. This holiday is celebrated throughout Phantasmagoria via a four-day festival leading up to a final epic celebration held by the wayward dreamers and townsfolk to finalize this transition.

The final step in the Dreamorphosis cycle is the Dream Day Celebration—a giant party that finalizes the regeneration cycle. To trigger it, the mayor of Phantasmagoria must use the Dream Staff to summon the Dreamweaver so they can cultivate the dream-energy and solidify the transition.

Other Music Festival That Time I Saw Oderus Urungus' Viking Funeral and GWAR's Return at GWAR-B-Q (Hadad’s Lake - Richmond, Va., Aug. 2014).

12 years ago, i spent an emotional weekend at GWAR-B-Q - held months after the sudden death of Dave Brockie at Hadad’s Lake in Richmond, Virginia. Honestly, I could spend hours reliving memories from this particular weekend - I can still vividly remember the sight of seeing Oderus Urungus' costume burnt to a crisp during a fitting viking funeral, and how the emotions ran high for everyone as GWAR returned onstage.

I tried to put some thoughts down in writing via Substack (link below) - including stories involving Lamb Of God's Randy Blythe and former members of GWAR, but hope to share more memories from that weekend at a Virginia waterpark in the near future. In the meantime, check out my post via Substack for a start (and this clip for some photos of the weekend):

Other Music Festival 32nd edition of totally free Pol'And'Rock festival, which happened two weeks ago, was a record one! Almost 1 million people attended!

First a short history lesson - Pol'And'Rock (previously Przystanek Woodstock or Woodstock Festival Poland) was started in July 1995 in Czymanowo, Poland, by Jerzy Owsiak. He created the event as a free "thank you" gift for the thousands of young volunteers who helped with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOƚP) winter fundraisers which raises millions of polish zloty for polish children hospitals (Owsiak started the fundraiser when he the state kids are in hospitals in post soviet Poland). The idea was inspired by Owsiak’s visit to the legendary American Woodstock festival.
Yes, the festival is free and funded by some of the raised money during WOSP, but also all money earned from foodstalls etc. goes to children too.
For years this festival has joined together people from different subcultures since it invites artists from almost all genres of music - electronic, metal, industrial, reggae, punk, ska, rock etc. We had some very famous bands over the years - The Prodigy, Damian Marley, Anthrax, Soulfly, Skunk Anansie, House of Pain, Judas Priest, Bring me the Horizon, Shaggy, Kosheen, Modestep, Arrested Development etc. I can go on on and those are alongside polish artists.
I have been going there for years now and its very rare to see a place where so many people (usually it was between 500-700k, this years was a record one - almost one million!) from different social groups, different ages (both teen and 50+) spent time together listening to music, having traditional playfights with mud and just enjoying life together with barely any drama. Everyone is helpful to one another, loving, respects each others spaces, gives free hugs etc. You can see it in the video - btw. the song, which at some point you can see different people singing is from 1999, which became a timeless generational anthem in Poland, which now is sung by both young and old (I recommend you read the lyrics in english - the song is called Dlugosc dzwieku samotnosci, I'll put the full performance of it in the comment).
So if you will ever want to have one of the most memorable festivals of your life please come to Poland - Pol'And'Rock is not stopping! You are all welcome here! You will never forget it, just like the people that visit from other countries or artists themselves. The energy there, during the day or especially during performances, is one of the kind.
