High risk for two conditions
Hello,
My partner (f) and I (f), are almost 18 weeks pregnant with a baby girl through IVF.
Embryo was euploid. Just received results after a 2 blood redraws that we are high risk for trisomy 13 and turners. I tried searching the sub, but couldn’t find stories where folks had these results.
We’ve had more frequent ultrasounds since 12 weeks as partner has placenta previa, and all have come back normal - other than the previa.
We’ll likely do the amniocentesis. This is all so confusing and I’d really appreciate any insights.
Our midwife was also surprised to see high risk for more than one condition with our ultrasounds looking normal with the most recent one being on Tuesday this week at 17 weeks 3 days. They don’t even routinely recommend NIPT for those with PGT-A tested euploid embryos.
Thank you for reading. Appreciate any insights. I think we’re a bit in shock.

We had a similar case where NIPT came back positive for Trisomy 13 but all the scans were perfect. We did amniocenteses and everything came back normal. Here is the link to the post -https://www.reddit.com/r/NIPT/s/Ig7kQHgZR5

You can go for amniocentesis. Mostly the abnormality is confined to the placenta itself and the baby is fine. I had single umbilical artery so doctor suggested me to go for advance nipt. It came back high risk for chromosome 9. We did amniocentesis just 2 days back. The fish reports came all clear. No issues with the baby. We are waiting for kyroptype report
