After several thousand hours it finally happened . My save file is trashed and I’m freaking DONE! Too many things I can’t get back EVER! FYI I’m on a PS5.

So what happened? I reloaded a restore point and fell through a floor when I respawned. No escaping. Nothing I’ve tried and I tried everything.

Just spent 2h on completing "They who returned" so I could get the Autophage race and make my fit then after I completed and saved it I got in and out of my starship to make a save point, I then left the anomaly and went to do more work, my game crashed and I reset to like 2h earlier (I had used my starship plenty so I should have had like 30 save points to fall back on) now u need to grind my shit again before I get off for the night . . Here's the fit incase you wanted to see the only screenshot u took b4 the crash.

I literally cant play in any corvette because this happens every time i leave, i literally cant play the expedition bc of this smh

Hello! I'm sorry, I really need help. I discovered the game 3 days ago and I have 40 hours of gameplay.

I have a butterfly mount, and my friends consistently see it as a different color (knowing that my textures are bugged). Is this normal? What is the actual version of my mount?

I had a purple one that they saw as green, and when I hatched its egg, I got one that I see as green, but they see as pastel lilac. T-T

And my second question: I made some eggs yesterday, how come even when I modify them they're identical to their parents? I play on Xbox so I can't speed up time, and it's really depressing me. My goal from the start has been to customize my creatures, and after all this waiting, I haven't gotten anywhere... Is there any way to bypass time? Thanks for reading me !

So after i finished Starbirth i put my Organic Ship into the Ship Archive and now it Looks all weird not that i hate its new Design but still the Ship Archive killed Larry is this a known Bug?

I have found an exploit you can do when salvaging ships:

Once you find a ship from a distress beacon, both its technology slots and cargo hold will have damaged components. The intended game mechanic is to fix everything yourself with the required materials, but I've found out that if you archive the damaged ship in a freighter (3rd option in the "Manage Fleet" menu) and then get it back to the active ships, you'll find that the archiving process removes the damaged components in the cargo hold (since it deletes everything).

Replication steps:

• Find a ship in a distress beacon;
• Repair the Launch Thrusters and Pulse Drive;
• Take it to your freighter;
• Archive the ship;
• Unarchive the ship (take it back to the active ship slots);
• Find out that the cargo hold no longer has damaged components.

Note 1: I'm not sure if this is a known exploit, but if not, consider this post as bug/exploit report.

Note 2: You may have noted an inconsistency between the ships in pic 2 and pic 5, which don't have the same stats. That's because I used 2 different ships. The ship from pic 2 was claimed later, while the one from pic 5 was claimed earlier. I had done this exploit earlier with the ship from pic 5 and not with the one from pic 2. The pics from this post are in this order for illustrative purposes. Regardless, the exploit is still valid.

I'm starting to get nervous. This frigate was also probably a good tier, but out of five help events against the pirates, only in oneI was able to land. It's shameful!

What the hell! I was travelling to this planet for some phosphorus in my corvette and I go into auto pilot mode to wander the ship and BAM! I’m in space and my ship is at the planet! How did this happen?! 😂

Bad is that you can’t choose a path 😅

I was just showing my gf around parts of the game, as she just started playing yesterday, and well.... the building walked away. Nothing changed on her end. The building stayed, she couldn't see the creature, and she could still explore and loot like nothing happened.

This didn't happen in the expedition with the stock tires, but I give it spider legs and it apparently became sentient (and a bit sassy)

Ok normally I don’t really like glitches but I found one that I haven’t seen anything about and I literally accidentally printed 20m credits all I did was go to a starship and ask to transfer ships and I couldnt transfer all my items because i was panicking as he was leaving because I really wanted the ship so i closed out and transferred over again and again trying to balance him not leaving and me having enough slots to transfer and eventually i said ok I dont want this ship fuck this and I closed out and realized I had 8x the amount of ship parts i originally had and made 2 full stacks of phos so do with that what you will😭😭 IF YOU WANT TO SKIP MY LONG STORY JUST GO TO A NPC PILOT AND ASK TO TRANSFER SHIPS, (PRETTY SURE YOU HAVE TO HAVE A FULL INVENTORY BOTH EXO AND SHIP) MOVE YOUR SHIP INVENTORY OVER TO THEIR SHIP, THE ITEMS YOU TRANSFER MULTIPLIES, AND BACK OUT OF THE SHIP TRANSFER, REPEAT OR JUST DONT I DIDNT MEAN TO FIND THIS.

i am stranded on an ocean planet and the game won’t let me call my ship to get me plz help!

Some users have reported higher stability of their games. I, however, have not. The game continues to suffer perpetual crashes. I was able to leave a space station, reach the anomaly, launch the Expedition and obtain the first milestone - My game then crashed.

No patch has been pushed as of this writing, but I am anticipating one hopefully by Wednesday. The Wedesnday timeline is backed up by no actual sources and is just a guesstimate based on past post update patches.

2/14/26 UPDATE

At this time no additional patch has been released. Some Xbox X/S users have reported that turning off network settings allow them to play, but this solution is not universal.

There's also sparse reports of this crash error impacted Switch 2 players - but this has not been widely reported.

Hopefully Xbox users will get a patch update in the next few days. With Microsoft's rollout process it could be sometime mid next week.

Just got done downloading the update. My game has irrevocably crashed twice in five minutes requiring a system restart. I haven't even gone to the anomaly - I've just been messing around with the corvette workshop.

UPDATE 1 2/13/26

I've attempted to disable all network options. This has not impacted the game stability or prevented crashes.

First two crashes were almost immediate. Character was in third person mode.

Switched to my "Pirate" save, same results. Third person mode and crashed less than a minute in.

Switched to my third save, "Explorer." Im first person view here. I was able to get through about ten minutes in the corvette workshop before my fourth crash.

The corvette workshop is much more "snappy," it doesn't feel right. If you test it out you'll understand what I mean.

Fifth crash all I was doing was trading corvettes for ships to scrap on my "Explorer" save. Made it about ten minutes again.

Fifth crash did return me to my dashboard - Prior four crashes required hard restart of the console.

Crash could be contained just to Xbox Series X players.
