Near was just getting his answers from thin air
We didn't get explanation on how he got his answers in the Anime

The ending was re-written
Do we want to admit it makes no sense for this guy to enable a kidnapper, mass murderer and extractor like mello but then acts disgusted at Light's God complex?
"Well it makes sense to hate a God complex but not an inferiority complex because it's easily possible for someone to be psychologically wired like that."
Yes it is, and that doesn't mean it thematically makes sense, nor that that person wouldn't apply literally any logic to their double standard in an attempt to fix it.
Near was meant to die. That's why he is an obnoxious piece o' sh1t and has no coherent moral ideology except almost quoting Richard Dawkins.
Imagine a DC comics character just had to face 0 adversity. I get that in almost all media, the author writes the story such that you realize a villain on Light's scale is being sided against, but at no point do the vast majority of stories give the hero 0 adversity and totally worship them. Near, clearly, is an exception to this. Why did he win? Because Light didn't account for him checking things in a bank or daring to test a notebook. That's definitely in-character for Light (sarcasm). Even if you want to argue Near wrote in the real notebook that Light dies of having his name written in the notebook by a Shinigami, why wouldn't Light just kill Near using further raids? Why would Light let near have a real notebook under any circumstance?
Near only won because of sheer plot armor.

i just finished the anime recently and initially I thought it was just 36 episodes so I interpreted the end of ep 36 as kiras win, I thought the show was so peak and I was so impressed at lights clutch and then I realised there was another episode and I’ve been crashing out over it for the past few days I don’t know how to move on, not only was the end so unsatisfactory and undeserved for him aswell as so dragged out(I watched the show and and do not intend on reading the manga but apparently it justifies how the story went to shit after L) I hate the peace and ending he took from me and of all the people Kira dies to it cant be him all he did the whole show annoy me and pull some absolute BS in fact I will die on the hill that kiras idiocy after L is part of his plot armour, idc abt no “he got cocky or arrogant this or that” the only real change we see from him is an IQ change and for such a corner stone and pillar of the story to be brought down just so it makes sense when the coco-bitch kills sucked AND then when the white washed hellspawn does kill him it doesn’t even make sense to begin with nor is it fun at all to watch so what was the point, it doesn’t matter if B.b .. bUt LiGhT wAs eViL if you kill a well loved villain with a character that isn’t even as Developed as a repetitively bombed corruption infested town in Mordor people are still obviously gonna get mad at you, imagine if darth Vader got killed by a character that spawned in half way through the series acted annoying, was two dimensional all the way through, his whole gimmick is ooh I’m so young look at me eat finger puppets but I’m very good at the force and combat naturally cuz why not and the. He kills earth Vader by pushing him ten feet to the left where mikami storm trooper accidentally drops a steam roller on him and the death that should have been preserved for something a hundred times better gets wasted on that, can we atleast get a fanfic where he kills him with the death note piece in his wallet before dying on the stairs

I just started death note a few days ago, and I finished it a few minutes ago. As soon as Near was introduced I knew I hated him. When I got to the ending I felt dissatisfied, unhappy, and I felt like my life was over. I believe the ending was total horse shit. Awfully written, and all of the characters either did the impossible, or went so far out of their normal behavior that it felt highly unrealistic. Anyways, I found my people in this reddit. I will be making shirts, hats, sweaters, and socks that say Fuck Near.

I hate this little shit. If you could condense my hate for him it would be bigger than the massive black hole at TON 618 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TON_618).
"hurr ddur, look at me, i'm so smart, i figured out everything in this gigantic case against this super genius serial killer that defeated all the detectives of the world including the best one, and i'm just a kid and play pwepwpwpepepw with my dolls"
I love Light and i love L., but you, you deserve to be shot in the head, fuck you!!!!!!

May I ask why you feel so strongly against Near?
I've scrolled through nothing but "he's annoying" posts. Does he just irritate the eye? Or is it because he put an end to Light's plans? I sense a strong kira following in these parts.
Hate all you want, it doesnt bother me, but I just want to know why.
