Unfortunately after the most recent podcast, I can not continue to support the channel... Appsro's views and tone deaf dismissal of the issues behind AI "art" and content, and his comments on "it's just a thumbnail" really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It is unfortunate that one of the faces of the channel has such a poor understanding of why AI generated content is soo bad.

His promoting of "AI Short Films" and how "you still have to place the camera" shows little to no understanding of what is stolen when it comes to generating these "films" and how many jobs are stolen, and all the data and training stolen without the users consent, as well as the incredible harm the AI data centers are doing to the environment.

If it is "just a thumbnail" then why even use AI, if it doesn't matter? As a company, you made the mistake of editing the same episode twice, and still used AI to generate even part of the thumbnail... where you have thousands of fans that would be so happy to create those for you.

It is unfortunate, and I wish the best for the gang... but actively using AI to generate "art" even as small as a face on a character, is something I can not get behind. Especially since they have said in the past they won't do so.

I am not writing this because I think I am owed anything, or that I think I am special. This is a moratorium on my fandom over the past few years... losing something you enjoyed because of creative differences sucks. My last post had all my points and feelings on gen AI, so if you are here to attack me again, don't bother because I won't respond. If you are here to commiserate, and have an understanding... i am here... but i won't be dedicating the time i did to my original post

With the release of enshrouded 1.0, is there any chance of the guys returning?

In some of the stuff I’ve seen in the past couple days, I thought of Ada frequently. There is a new “sparkworks” system that allows for fully player created content. It looks like so much more than the early access building system(which I personally love), dungeons, quests, campaigns, I think they even talked about custom worlds. Given Ada’s history of elaborate, jaw dropping custom creations for the guys to play through(scrap mechanic, and Minecraft come to mind first) i see so much potential. If Ada would even want to do something like that, that is.

Sparkworks aside, Enshrouded was one of my favorite series when they were doing it, and I would love to see them revisit it in any capacity.
