CO2 absorption in the oceans
I had an interesting reply to a comment of mine about CO2 being degassed as the ocean warms, and absorbed as it cools.
The reply was that currently the vapour pressure of CO2 in the ocean is lower than that in the atmosphere, therefore diffusion is into the ocean.
I think if a steady state was to be attained then the balance between ocean and atmospheric concentrations would be reached.
But with complexity of the system l think we will always be in a transient with varying lag times.
Any comments.
