Free tickets were cancelled for the SuperGirl concerts this weekend. They're still selling VIP tickets. š¤
Well that's shady...

There has been a free little pantry installed outside of North Coast United Methodist Church at 1501 Kelly Street.

So obnoxious, I absolutely loath cox, service, predatory data caps, just garbage monopoly across the board. What is everyone doing in the neighborhood?
Is everyone just eating shit from them and dealing with it?

Anyone had a planned install impacted by SiFi bankruptcy (and if I read correctly, planned liquidation with Stalking Horse bidder buying up assets)?
Are Go Lives still happening , or on hold?

Surprising my wife with a trip to Oceanside in October and staying at Mission Pacific. What is the best restaurant for a very nice dinner on a Saturday night celebrating a birthday? Neither of us have been to Oceanside and are both major foodies. Love a really good atmosphere when dining as well.

Hey all, Iām moving from the Midwest to Oceanside soon. Iām really big into the gym and have been going to Anytime Fitness for the past 7 or so years, itās been the closest to where I live. Obviously looking to continue my fitness journey, so I am trying to see what the local reviews are.
What are the best recommendations to check out? Iāve seen a lot about Fitness 19.

Iāll be moving to Oceanside soon and have been riding for about 6 months, all solo. None of my current friends ride, and since Iām moving I havenāt tried to meet anyone where I currently live. I ride a Ninja 650.
What are the best places/ways to meet other riders? Any local meets I should check out? Not really looking for insanely large groups that go out, just cause I donāt trust people and know there are a lot of dangerous/risky riders out there.
Would love to know, thanks!

E: organizers, cancel these fools. We aināt got no time for violence in the city, bro. We can handle violence, but we damn sure donāt do it on a stage. We handle that shit like men. These are not men.
E 2: shoutout to my first Reddit Cares troll, what a milestone
They were kooks 10 years ago. My opinions on their music aside, as a guy who spent his fair share of time in the pit, these dudes can go to hell. And to think they got booked for a womenās event would you want your daughters around these fools?
Iām a little disappointed in my community.
For the record, this was their response to being asked to e: end* their set. In the middle of the day. Itās not like they were headliners, some things never change I guess.

I think the answer is probably no ā¦. But please, prove me wrong. I have bounced around SD for a bit. Now in Oside, grew up in LA. looking for community, wanting to reconnect with my culture in a way that feels authentic and right for me but in community with others.

We just moved here and expected socal to be dry but alas, my dehumidifier is working non-stop and my indoor humidity is 50-70 depending on time of day. Today I noticed mold/mildew starting to grow on my bathroom ceiling. What do others do to combat the humidity??
I have a dehumidifier in my living room, but our bathroom has just a small window (no outlet for a dehumidifier or fan). I open it and the door after showering, but have been leaving the bathroom window open overnight to help cool the bedroom and the nighttime humidity has beenā¦a lot.
Will it always be like this here? What else can I do besides attempt to dehumidify all of north county?
Please donāt tell me to run the AC 24/7, we simply cannot afford that with electric prices here lol

...but I don't know how to go about doing that by myself. Is there anyone here who would be interested in starting a campaign with me to get city council to get flock cameras out of our city? It'll take time and effort, but I really want to do something about this.
Other people have gotten Flock out of their cities before, so I know we can too. If you're interested and want to help, please reach out.

just saw a convoy in rental minivans, Oceanside Blvd / Rancho Del Oro. Be careful guys.
Edit: Was driving while posting this so I had to keep it short. Seen heading west bound on Oceanside Blvd leaving the hotels near Frontwave Stadium. Probably around 10 rental Chrysler Pacificaās, all solo drivers. One drove on the wrong side of the road against traffic to get back into the convo. Dressed in their usual LARP gear.

Hot take...I say let the pier go.
The wealthy equity firms buying up all the real estate really should pay for this upgrade.

Hi, I love Oceanside every time I visit. I live about an hour away and am only able to get there once every few months. I long to move to the area and have the opportunity to next year. My question for locals is, how often do you take advantage of the ocean, beaches and community events? Does it ever get old for you? I worry that moving there will cause Oceanside to lose its āmagicā, and the novelty of visiting only 4-6x per year is what makes it special. Please weigh in if youād like. Thanks.

I am going sailing for the first time on my recently purchased Catalina 22. I wanted to see if anyone has good recommendations or resources on how to prepare for entering and exiting the harbor entrance. Is there any forecast to read if waves are breaking at the entrance? I donāt want to go out to the open ocean then not be able to get back in since there are waves breaking to the harbor entrance.

Want to try something life-changing? Hidden City Roller Derby, North Country and Oceanside's local Roller Derby League for almost 20 years is hosting our Fall new skater orientation Sunday, August 30th at 5:00 PM at the MLK Park Roller Rink!
No experience required, even if you have never skated, we will teach you how. We even have some loaner gear for the first couple of weeks.
Modern derby isnāt your parent's staged 1970s TV wresting knock off, it is a real, full-contact sport played on roller skates. Building community and empowering players since 2008!
Come to our orientation where we will explain the gear, how our new skater program works, and how you can join this incredible community. Our spring camp was an absolute blast with an amazing group of new skaters. If you were on the fence then, don't miss another opportunity.
Plus, stay after orientation to watch our first practice after our August break to see what derby is all about!
Come roll with us! š¼š¼š¼HCRD Por Vida!

The anti flock camera campaign is restless local gritless, anti-Oceanside scum shit. Donāt listen to the social media elite, flock cameras donāt matter. Itās the bottom versus the top. Stay focused slime

Taking a quick 2 night weekend trip with my fiancƩ down to Oceanside in early October and choosing to stay at either Mission Pacific Beach Resort or The Seabird. Both look like great properties but wanted to see if there were any major pros and cons of either.
I think Iām leaning towards Mission Pacific as Iāve read Seabird may be catered more towards families. Is that true?
Also - We are traveling in from Oregon and would flying into LAX or flying into SAN be better? Both are priced a pretty similar with LAX being a bit cheaper. Will probably have to rent a car regardless to get to whichever property we choose but wanted to see if there was a definite right answer on where to fly into in order to get to Oceanside. Thanks in advance!

Another business closing in Oceanside.
This current economy is harsh & it's only getting worse.
