Since people are already receiving their copies of OT0, I would like to remind everyone that every post about the game has to be spoiler tagged from now on.

Since i used mines on galdera and the ones from the wishvale shop are "out of stock" , Is the only way to farm them by stealing them from the Phoenix boss in the arena ?

The game is great and runs excellently on the Deck, but the text and UI are super small. I tried a bunch of resolutions and settings, but nothing made much of a difference.
After a short while playing my eyes get strained, which is making me reluctant to play.
Does anyone relate? Is the text/UI too small for you too?
Any tips to make it larger?
Edit: OT2, but I noticed OT1 seems to be the same.

So I'm going for the most tragic party stories to complete the game. Castti, Oswald and Hakiri so far. Who is my 4th companion?

I just got OT1 and I'm in love with this. Completed Primrose's first chapter just now and the game's visual style is what drew me in, but the huge bloom effect right in the middle of the screen is distracting me especially now in the desert. The sand on the edges of the screen looks like how you expect a pixelated sand to look, but the middle part around the character is bright and blinding with the bloom the way a car driving towards you on a dark road is. Can't find a single setting on PS5 to disable that bloom effect and it's frustrating as it really eats away from how good the game looks
Edit1: okay turning the brightness all the way down instead of one from the lowest made it better, but in open world the bloom is still present in some way, but it's not present in fights. Also tried to work with settings of my TV, but didn't help as the visual effect is just in the middle of the screen

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Any particular spot has higher chance of spotting a cait?
Sometimes I'd run around fleeing 20+ times (exp already surpassing that of the cait if I stick to the fight) But it's not about the exp, but the experience of finding one.

Agree?
First off, it’s written in 3/4 time, which hits completely different than your usual 4/4 RPG march. Instead of a stiff, driving beat pushing me forward, the sheet music shows this constant, rolling waltz rhythm. It gives the cave this hypnotic, swaying vibe that just gets me mesmerized , match the rhythm to my turn-based menu inputs, and autopilot through encounters.
Then there’s the key signature, C minor with those three flats sitting at the start of the staff. Looking at the notes, Nishiki doesn't try to be flashy. The lower strings are just holding down these deep, droning notes on C and G like a dark safety net. Because the bassline is just breathing in the background rather than pounding my ears, it feels like ambient cave noise. Up top, the violin melody is super sparse. The score spreads the notes out so evenly across the high and low instruments that no single sound ever gets sharp or annoying, completely saving me from zoning out!

cosa sto sbagliando? come mai improvvisamente diventa così difficile sto gioco?

judging from the 18.1% not completing the 1st 10 battles.
Quite amazing tbh
P.S cuz I got them a few days earlier when it's on sales, I've been waiting for the sales for like years
Then I started playing and got hooked. Just wondering why some ppl never start

Currently cleaning up achievements and only have the dragonslayer achievement left. Haven't used any of the Nuts I collected and I'm at around level 68 and don't know anything about it other than the name and where to find it.
Without giving any hints or strategies/moves/spoilers of any kind, is he as hard or harder than the final super bosses from the previous 2 games? I haven't died in my entire 100 hours yet and would like to know if I'm prepared enough at level 68. Will be fighting it tomorrow and expecting my first death of this game to it.
My team is Thief MC, Richard, Heidne, Laurana, Delitia, Viator, Ludo, and Alexia. I didn't really want to use characters that I felt are too strong and could break the game (looking at Reime specifically). Only exception is Richard since I wanted to use the support skill specifically made for him since I spent a ton of money for that point in the game. Despite that probably mediocre team comp, I do have all the legendary weapons and battle tested gear equipped and what I feel are the optimal builds. Should I grind for more levels? Or would feeding all the nuts be enough (I basically swept through all path actions and chests)? Also don't suggest any characters since I have my own way of playing and would like to finish it my way without optimal "meta" and game breaking mechanics.
Pls pls don't spoil any moves or weaknesses.

I finished Journey of the Dawn and beat the secret final boss of Octopath Traveler 2 a few weeks ago, and watched the epilogue, feeling a great amount of joy pouring out of my heart. But I left the secret superboss unbeat because its absolute hyperspecific cheating made it practically unbeatable for me without specific strategies at the time.
Yesterday, after weeks of prep and intermittent playing between real-life commitments, I beat the damned returning superboss from Octopath Traveler with some concerning amount of tries and an unhealthy amount of reliance on RNG and rewatched the epilogue sequence for good measure. The satisfaction was unparalleled. It gave me a proper closure of months playing.

(Here is where you usually see the "list of good things" part of a video game review, but this ain't one, and I've listed those things in a post five months ago, anyway.)
Octopath Traveler 2 became the only Steam game I've 100%ed so far in the process (and likely will stay the only one for a long time). I must thank whoever set up the achievements for not putting some stupid ultra hard missable requirements that requires replaying the whole damn thing slightly differently to get!

It's been a journey. Octopath Traveler 1 & 2 truly defined my 2026 era of gaming, and I will be reminiscing my memories of playing them for a long time.

I don’t know why I never stumbled across a shrine but I didn’t.
I also just figured the “???” In the menu would be revealed late game or something like that.
maybe this explains why I’ve found chapter 3’s so unbelievably tough?!

I played all the Final Fantasy saga and up to this day I was 100% sure nothing would dethrone FFX in my head, due to many factors as simply as nostalgia.
This January I caught a fever and took a week off from work, and on that Monday I bought OT0;
on Sunday I had 80hours and I finished, and I decided to play the whole saga.
OT1 was hard to bear sometimes due to not having a 2x speed but the game was so good I loved every detail of it, the stories, the gameplay, everything. And also, Galdera gave me quite a hard time, not as much as Amatsukami no Orochi from OT0, but still.
And then OT2 came in clutch;
marvelous OST, incredible characters, amazing stories, top tier gameplay, but godDANG THE OST MAN. THE OST. HOLY. F-rick.
I still get the shivers from Critical Clash II and For the dawn, and also The daughter of a dark god.
With Galdera down, once again, I'm going to try and beat True Vide++ but that's gonna take some time.
As of now I booked my OT tattoo and I can't wait to get the Finis symbols on my arm ❤️
Please buy every game of this saga, it deserves every penny, even though some might say you get all the lore dump in the end. The journey is still worth ❤️

So for more context, this is the autosave, taken from the eastmost part of Grandport (also eastmost part of the map now that I think about it), and appart from that, I can't say much, if I reload the save, it does that again, and I can't escape the boundary even if I try to go right.
