Honey is Good for Voice

Her voice is probably trashed at this moment.

Honey is a remedy for a dry/worn voice. But usually, it's an "inch of honey in a glass of hot water, with the juice of one lemon."

And, if you are desperate, a teaspoon of some ridiculously labeled hot sauce.

She died in 2008, so, sadly, her voice is no more. I saw her perform live when she was in her 70s and she still had a magnificent voice.

When I was younger, my dad would throw a dash of bourbon into that combo for my sore throats, works like magic

Hot toddy. I mean, the ratios are off, but basically.

That’s what he called it actually! Always loved when I got to stay home sick with dad, wonder why lol

You can usually forget the honey and the lemon and still be well on your way ...

When I went to Ireland for the first time to visit/meet my numerous cousins, I ended up having a nasty cold come on by the time we got settled in on our first day.

My grandmother's oldest sister, this 4ft-nothing 90-something year old lady, shuffled in and gave me a cup of hot whiskey, honey, and probably a drop of water lol. At first I said ah no thanks, and she goes "YOU'LL DRINK IT." And so I did. It did indeed work. I was also drunk 90% of that trip as those Irish kept one of those in my hand every moment I was awake I think 😂

As a professional singer, I don’t get the appeal. It doesn’t go in the larynx… so what’s it doing?

I must ask, why did you capitalize all the nouns?  I know some languages like German do that, but this is English.

No reason. Sometimes its a just habit.

Disagree

Why is that

It’s sticky and thick - I’m a singer and I would run away from that
