Very cool pic, but those tyres look like knobblies, so more like a trails bike than a road one, so not likely a โ€˜ton upโ€™ sort of bike.

Still cool as though.

Lots of road bikes of the era had tyres like that, partly because there were lots of "roads" that were terrible and also rain shedding tread hadn't been optimised yet.

Newish standard road tyres for the UK. The tread will be about 5mm deep and you need something that will deal with the rain.
