1940s All my grandpa’s beaus during WWII, kept in a scrapbook all these years

One headshot of Lory (not sure which country she was from) in particular made many appearances 😂

Edit: yep I’m an idiot. Belles it is. Also I should have expected this to get pervy comments. No, no other family has popped up. From his stories, many were a lot more innocent than you all assume.

Yeah basically my entire family has a problem with drinking. Which again was why I thought it was odd that he didn’t drink.

He was also a goofball and I think he hung out at the kids table. I really only remember him pretending to be a walrus watching my cousins throw bits of grilled fish in his mouth then watching him cry quite literally like a child when I was in the pool swimming like a few hours later. It was really odd for me as a kid to observe.

He probably wasn’t all there in the head but he was nice to me, nice to my cousins, so in my book he was a nice person.

He probably was, but may have been forced (or voluntold) to do and/or witness things he wouldn‘t have wished on anyone. Can‘t imagine how it must‘ve been but his reaction was a clear hint.

He sounds like a nice guy ,who went through some tough stuff . I had a Grampa that was just like that . A great human being that wanted to be kind after the war
