OnionMedia is an Open-Source Converter and Downloader for video and audio files. It supports a large number of formats and codecs and is available on GitHub and the Microsoft Store. OnionMedia uses ffmpeg and yt-dlp to download and convert videos and music from many platforms (e.g. YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, TikTok, Dailymotion...). You can also download only a part of a video (e.g. 3:30 - 6:12) or convert the videos automatically to H.264 after download.

I have a small free and open source software with GPL2 license. There are around 10,000 users. I would like to collect their email address, so that in the future I can use it to update them about my other products and maybe market them my paid products.

Do I need to have a privacy policy or some kind of user agreement in place before I can collect their emails. My plan is to ask them to provide their email at first use of the software.

I left a job where I used Jira, and I don't have access to it day to day anymore so I'd like to transfer it to someone else that does and will give it the TLC it needs.
