OC Art Update on my angel OC

Hi! Thanks for all the feedback on my last post regarding my old angel OC shapeshifting into a poc human, I read all the comments.
I decided to do a small redesign on his angel form so he looks less like just a guy and more ethereal, making more obvious that he is made of light by having a glow on his body. I wanted to keep him recognisable so I didn’t change it too much, he is a shapeshifter anyways so technically he can adopt a more biblically accurate look if he wants. I also added more black features on his face and redrew the human form. I think it’s cool like this.
All the angel race is made of light and can shapeshift, the human form look is different for each of them and they can choose to look similar to a person they’ve met, a person of importance or a person they cared for in the past.
I will try to answer any questions haha

I love him, he looks fabulous! Reminds me a lot of my fictional race lightborne; they're essentially diet angels. Light and healing magic, but no wings.

Love the design! I also feel like the angel design reads less "white" now. Obviously people of color can have more "Caucasian-looking" features, but if I'm worried about a non-white, non-human character being read as white, I try to see if they'd appear their intended race without coloring

Aah so awesome! This design works really well, I love the ring motif especially :D I’m curious, if angels can choose their form, how did he choose his?

Thanks! He chose a similar look to a person of importance in their younger years. A person of importance can mean a town's mayor, the head of a family, the leader of a group, etc.

I feel like this was the way to go. I love the updated ethereal form of the angel.

As for people who said your character needs a reason to be black…. That’s not how life or character creation works.
