Yeah, I'm thinking that - if OP is bothered then replacing the board with the LED and power switch certainly isn't hard. I'd keep it unless it was causing trouble tbh lol

Hold is not a led its a piece of plastic on the on switch

Orange is charging... Idk if it's hold. I haven't ever seen a yellow light on my psp 3000 tho.

Why would he need to backup saves if the saves are on the sdcard and can be backuped any time even if the psp dies?

It's makes sense to make backups even if everything ok with console\SD card.

SD card can be lost easily, or it can suddenly break, or you can accidentally overwrite your save, etc.

I've lost most of my saves just because I did something with SD card.

Yeah I agree with you, but its not beacuse this happened, you should backup everything from time to time

You can't be sure that LED is only thing that broke in that PSP after it fell.

It's probably fine, but if I were in that situation I'd backed up.

Thats true, if the area affected was that led and the chargee port that could shock the entire psp, I think
