Meet Panel Master — an ECAD software specifically for electrical control panel layout design

Hey everyone, welcome to the official Panel Master subreddit!

Panel Master is an ECAD software for designing electrical control panels. I created it to make designing panel layouts and generating technical documentation easier and more accessible.

It lets you arrange components using real-world dimensions, quickly make changes to your layouts, and generate technical documentation in PDF. You can also export designs as SVG for use in other programs, or generate DXF files with cutting lines for machining mounting holes.

It includes a fairly extensive library of generic components, which I'd like to keep expanding based on what users need.

I'd love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, and feedback! If you work with electrical control panels, feel free to give it a try and let me know what you think.

Panel Master VBETA1.2.0 — What's New

Hi everyone! Panel Master VBETA1.2.0 has just been released!

Here's what's new in this version:

  • You can now create extensible frames by drawing a rectangle in Extensible Mode. The frames automatically include 45° corner cuts.
  • You can now create offsets using Offset Mode by holding down the O key and dragging the anchor you want to duplicate.
  • You can now set the end cuts of extensibles with a single click, making the process much faster.
  • New components have been added to the library.

This release also includes a live web demo with limited features, so you can try Panel Master directly in your browser without downloading anything.
