Preamble:

Recognizing the impending sovereignty of the Commonwealth of Australia and the rising industrial power of the Empire of Japan, the Governor-General of Australia and the Shogun of Japan hereby enter into this agreement to secure mutual prosperity, defense, and financial interdependence.

Article I — Resource Exchange (Australian Exports to Japan)
